Found by accident, will return regularly

The 9 hole course is just right in it's set up and difficulty but it was the staff that shone for me. All were helpful, nothing was too much trouble and I would go back there when the opportunity arises

Tight and attractive

A lovely setting, with some tight fairways. The greens are generally small so accuracy is at a premium. The greens were undergoing routine maintenance when we played.

A real test

A gem of a course, always playable and well cared for, greens small and true.

Although short you need to be on your game to play to your handicap here.

Like the 3rd but also 5th and 8th.

Great golf for all.

I played many a top golf course and many 9 hole golf courses,so,as this was a first time playing the course i was really suprised to find not only a wonderful setting, each hole is well laid out, nice low cut rough, greens well watered, lots of high trees, makes playing a little harder, something to challenge you.I would definitely be coming back to play and would recommend to all ages.only two gripes, flags should have numbers on them.
Clearer signs saying "To tee number ? Not next Tee.Theres no sign from the country road, your sat nav, will take you,but your think, youve gone wrong?other than that,"fatastic".

Great little 9 hole course

Great little course , but would suggest the greens are cut more often as very bobbily on certain ones.
I'm a regular at the course and am looking to join as a member

Quiet course

As mentioned in a previous review although this is a pleasant very quiet course and ideal for someone taking up the game it seems ridiculous that as a 9’hole course you are unable to pay for 9! This makes it very expensive when picking up the game. Surely 9 holes should be an option as it is at a lot of other but not as suitable courses.

Hidden gem

First time playing this course and didn’t know what to expect due to mixed reviews. It’s a 9 hole course you play twice with some variations with the tee boxes on the second 9 which change the perspective of the hole nicely. Although a couple do remain the same. Overall I believe it’s great value for money, on the short side but made tricky with small greens and some lengthy par 3’s. Spoke to a couple of members very welcoming and helped us with some of the course layout, my only negative pick is there could be more/better signage directing to the next hole in some cases you have to use the road to access the next hole and it isn’t always that clear. Spoke to the gentleman behind the bar after (very friendly) he mentioned they have a new head green keeper which shows, the greens are in fantastic condition for the price point and very well kept fairways/run offs. Will definitely be returning, throughly enjoyed.

Useful course for beginner

I find it surprising that as it is a 9 hole course you are unable to book it as such I.e have to pay for 18!
I couldn’t mark staff as we didn’t see any!

I myself am a member at a course but am trying to encourage my young grandson.

Very confusing course due to playing same holes as a full 18. Not very well sign posted so many players were getting lost. Not very good value for money. I wouldn’t recommend playing as course conditions aren’t good, noisy with plenty of dog walkers & hikers. Much better courses around the area for less cost & better conditions.

Pleasant Course

I enjoyed the course layout, lovely atmosphere in club house, very welcoming. Don’t let the 9 hole course put you off. Each hole offers a new challenge and the greens are in excellent condition considering the time of year.

Good value for money.

Very disappointing - save your money

I paid £22 for a round here which was a complete rip off. The tee boxes, fairways and greens (see attached) are all in dreadful condition even for winter golf. I’d highly recommend saving your money or playing elsewhere. There’s plenty of other clubs in the same price point which are far better around that area. One positive was the staff and members were all friendly and the pace of play was great as there was no one on the course. Was hoping to get a full refund from the pro shop but no one was around so that’s £22 I’ll never see again.

Good course - drains too well

Had an enjoyable round. First one out so no pace issues. Great course for practising irons and short game. Only issue is that the course drains so well it plays very solid, ball can run out an extra 15-20 yards if hitting fairway to what you'd usually expect but all in all, would return.

Friendly people, quirky course

played on a gorgeous autumn day.
Found it difficult at times to see the flags as they were a bit faded and most were set against a background of trees and were in shade.
The layout was interesting and occasionally confusing as to the next tee direction.
The greens were small but receptive, the bunkers immaculately kept.
Members were really friendly.
Definitely worth the money!
