Chippenham Golf Club

Course was in good condition and the greens were quite fast for this time of year. The facilities such as the club house and changing rooms were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful would recommend anyone to go and have a round.

1st time playing Chippenham golf course, it’s a good test of golf with lots of interesting holes.

Overall pretty good , greens were a little lacking but considering the weather and the rain was too be expected . Club house very nice and welcoming overall worth a visit

Overall an interesting course with some very challenging holes and excellent setting. Course was well presented with fairways and tees. The greens were somewhat disappointing and did not reflect the other good aspects of the course. Fairways were tight and the first cut was deep so even if you strayed slightly you had to watch your ball closely to get a line and find it. Hiring a buggy would be useful. Although we got a deal through Golf Now even at that price we would think twice about playing it again…definitely a summer course. Bar staff very friendly and helpful…Pro Shop staff not as helpful but efficient. Overall an OK course…excellent outlook and some great holes…..normal green fee too expensive but worth a visit with Golf Now deal.

Hadn't played here for a few years and thought that the advertised price would mean temporary greens so pleasantly suprised that all greens were in play. Some were understandably a bit squishy but given recent weather understandable.

Was due to go out on my own but a member overheard me saying so and offered to take me around which was nice. He left after 4 at which point I paired up with another 'one ball' behind us and we went around together. Play was a bit slow but got better as we went around and ultimately we finished in just over 4 hours.

Overall interesting, freindly course and value for money on the day.

Played here and were effectively warned off standing by the first by a ladies four all who were teeing off ahead of us. When we did tee off within the first hole we had a foursome match race up behind us and make us pretty uncomfortable. They never said anything till we asked why they were in such close attendance at which point they explained that local rules allowed them to play through. We gave way so as not to cause a stink and while we waited for them too move ahead the group behind them practically ran up to us to accuse us of pushing in ….at the fifth!! This completely torpedoed any chance of an enjoyable round. Weird layout too with paths constantly passing in front of teeboxes. Should be said lads in the Pro shop were very nice , members should look to them for inspiration

Great course, slightly overloaded or maybe poorly time managed

Friendly golf club with good facilities for pre-game drinks and bacon rolls. The course was very wet but playable with some excellent hole layouts on parts of the course. A good round with friends.

Played after lots of wet weather so was very muddy in places. Green good for time of year some courses nearby on temps. members we meet seemed friendly. A nice variety of holes and will return in summer for another round.

Played a social game of golf with two friends and although the weather could have been better we had a most enjoyable round. The course was in very good condition for November, the greens were exceptionablly good. Only a couple of forward tee positions but overall the course was playing quite long. The Club House and pro shop had a friendly and welcoming feeling. Will definitely play Chippenham Golf course again.

Arrived early at the club in steady rain, as course was empty the pro said we could tee off as soon as we wished.
Course was in good condition despite the recent wet weather. Greens were still a good pace and true.
Local knowledge a distinct advantage on how to play some holes.
In the clubhouse after members were very friendly and sociable.
