Interesting course

Course in reasonable shape for winter. Major problem is that my 2 ball was paired with another 2 ball unbeknown to us.
Round took 5 hours because the other 2 ball were non golfers and we had to let other groups through.

Colmworth

Friendly staff and great restaurant/cafe.
Despite the previous heavy rain the course was in very good condition, some of the tee boxes were not brilliant and the odd bunker but everything else was in top shape.

Nice course; excellent clubhouse and staff.

This is a very friendly club. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. There are always lagers and Guinness on draft. The course is very well maintained and interesting to play. My only negative is the condition of the bunkers. I was only in two, but they both had little playable sand in the bottoms and too many stones. If you open up your club face, even on a lob wedge, you’re going to bounce off the bottom before striking the ball. If the bunkers were improved, this would be a 5-star rating and Colmworth would be my favourite course in the area. I love the course and club…I just manage my game to avoid the bunkers whenever possible. And the 19th hole is enough to make me forgive the bunkers.

First time playing Colmworth and I will give it another go for sure.

Pace of play on the day was slow so I skipped a couple of holes, but I was playing as a single.

Course was well maintained and the greens were good.

£3.50 for still water was a bit steep so I’ll bring my own next time.

Nice holes

Course provides holes which vary in difficulty. Good day out. Could do with the bunkers being filled with fresh sand

Lovely course

Had a very pleasant early morning (6:30) round this morning.
Course was well laid out and tended. A good mixture of straight & dog leg long par 4’s. Some tricky pin positions on the par 3’s to keep things interesting.
Greens were as expected for the cost of a round, couldn’t complain.
Great cafe/restaurant for afterwards.

Will be back again! 👍🏼

Good well maintained course

A good course. Well maintained fairways, greens and bunkers. Perhaps holes a little lacking in variety. Having said that, I would play here again.

A pleasant but challenging course.

A bit of a tricky course with a ots of different types of challenging holes. The course in general is well kept.
The tees are a little uneven with some difficult stances when teeing off.
The sand in the bunkers was not consistent, Some of them had very gritty, stoney sand whilst on others it was a lot finer.

Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Course played well.

In spite of the rain in the previous day's the course played very well. Bunkers need attention. Full of stones!

Great value well kept course

Brilliant days golfing in the sunshine and considering the rain this month the course was in great condition. Staff at the club shop were friendly and helpful and the scotch eggs on offer are stunning. My only criticism was that the greens all play at very different paces, so it's hard to get into any putting rythem.
