winter conditions in october

what a shame the beautiful course layout was in need of tlc, the tees were long, untidy, the fairways on front 9 very bad, no grass ,bare, tined, the greens were very slow need a trim as otherwise quite good,as we paid £60 for the two of us I think we should have paid £30. as conditions were bad.The staff was ok,not very cheerful on arrival.personally should have a £30 refund. We should have been told about the conditions before we teed off.

Stunning course very lush.

As always enjoyed playing this track. With some tricky holes where being long isn’t always the best option.
Really makes you think about positions of your approach shots.
Fairways where lush and green and in good condition.
Greens where nice a little slow but true. Overall enjoyed our day..

Lovely course

The course is back to its lush green best. Greens were perfect. Tricky little course with lots of trees. Keep it down the middle to get a good score.

Lovely course in great condition

Probably one of my favourite courses at present.
Well looked after and in really good condition especially considering the impact of the summer weather on most courses.
Greens were pretty much perfect and show no signs of damage, running smooth and true.
Fairways in great order with clear definition.
Water obstacles limited to the streams that cross certain holes and these are set at challenging distances from the tee for most amateur golfers.
A picturesque course with plenty of wildlife - highly recommended.

Lovely course in beautiful surroundings

Haven’t played here for a couple of years.
Was really impressed with how the staff have managed to keep the course in such good condition.
T-boxes could do with a trim and the greens where quite slow but very lush, green and consistent which always helps.
Will be coming back very soon.

Good day golfing

Wow. A great course good layout with lots of challenges. Played my best round in a long time. The course was in great condition and the greens were very playable not super fast but in great condition. The pace was good and the buggy prices were very reasonable. A course I will definitely play again.

Tough in places

With the very dry weather we have all experienced over the last few months I must congratulate the ground staff on the condition of the course. Yes the fairways are still recovering and quite sparse of grass in areas as are most courses at the moment. However the greens were fantastic. A very enjoyable round of golf.

Nice little course, nice little walk.

Costessey Park is a fun course to play. Starting with a easy little par 5, the course gets more and more challenging the deeper you get. The layout of the couse is a little confusing the first time you play but once you've been a couple of times, it's easy to navigate. Overall, good value for money with golf now.

Has the makings of a potentially great course, just isn’t looked after

I can absolutely forgive the dead pan dry fairways, but with un level tee boxes that are mostly dry dirt, so hard you can’t insert a tee into a lot of them they’re missing some of the basics.

With a bit of care, having greens that roll at similar speeds and generally just showing a bit more love this course could be so much better. Other than 3-4 holes the layout is pretty good… it could be so much more

Brilliant setting

I introduced the course to three mates who had never played it. We had a great time. Beautiful parkland layout, interesting and challenging holes, and all quite green despite the drought. Greens were fantastic if somewhat slow, and only criticism was the tees which are a bit ‘unloved’. Who said Norfolk was flat?!! Good value and we’ll be back soon.
