Course unkept

Crookhill can be a lovely course but currently it is not looked after correctly. The greens are poor, the bunkers are covered in weeds. It’s a shame

Good value round

Had seen the poor reviews , but got a hot deal and decided to play and decide for myself .
Overall course condition was good ,bunkers could do with some attention!
But greens , fairways and tees at a standard when paying less than £20 a round .
Enjoyed the course , will be back in the future

Nice course

Nice place, would’ve scored 5 but still a bit boggy after a week of sun and 3 greens being repaired

Shame

3 temporary greens that were literally just holes dug into the fairway. Definitely not worth the £20 fee to play

Shocking condition

I’m not the best golfer but the greens are in a right state.
I thought £10 a round was good value but was mistaken the winter tee mats were shocking you couldn’t stand on them safely. The greens were shocking you could not hit a straight putt it was like crazy golf. I advise everyone to avoid like the plague unless you like playing on your local park. This is no good for a serious golfer it used to be great 5-6 years ago but it looks like they take your money and nothing gets invested back into the club it has gone to ruin now and I have played a lot of courses in the winter time and this I can assure won’t be much better in the summer. If I was to pay £10 a round on something of that quality again I’d want £8 change. 3.5 hrs I’ll never get back.

18 holes Fair value for money

Overall good experience , still quite a lot of tree debris on fairways since recent storms s month ago. Green need some improvement. Club house ok but outdated and needs a deep clean....

Wasn’t very happy

Got around to the 11th hole, to be told that the 11th, 12th and 13th holes were not playing ! When we got back to the clubhouse, they said it was written on the board outside, which wasn’t the case. After asking if any money would be refunded, due to this, a swift No, was given !
Really disappointed with the course and treatment on the day !!!

Paid a large fee wa snot not anywhere that the 18 holes i paid for only included front 9. Course was water logged boggy and unplayable with people

Paid a large fee was not not anywhere that the 18 holes i paid for only included front 9. Course was water logged boggy and unplayable with people going round a very silly speed it took nearly 3 hours to play 9 holes in conditions like that i find it discusting they charge that amount of money when you are not going to get a golf experience. This is problem with golf its all money. Days like this if they was to keep people happy if conditions are poor charge less money for those who want to keep playing not 22 quid for 9 holes in a mud bath

Fore!!

This was a sound we heard on a regular basis on our round. As the fairways run parallel to each other on the front 9 you do have to keep your eyes and ears alert. There are two greens only separated by a tee and it would be good to look at protection for those on the tee.

Other than that the course offers plenty of challenge and there are a large number of dog leg holes and holes where you cannot see the green from the tee. Many of the par 3s are short and provide an excellent opportunity to consolidate your score. The majority of the greens are easily reachable in regulation without having to hit a very long tee shot.

I really like the course and the price is so reasonable. The tees were a bit worn and there were some holes with a lot of debris on them. It would be good if the club could look at ensuring this is addressed each morning.

I shall return.

Crookhill Park

Could be a great course but lacks proper maintenance. Bunkers filled with builders sand not raked or prepared. All should have been G.U.R 18th was so bad impossible to play out of due to tractor Tyre marks. Difficult to tell what was fairway and light rough on some holes. Tees were average and the greens needed work one being badly worn. Afraid I shan't return unless I hear it has improved. Still I suppose you get what you pay for!

1st time playing Crookhill

Unfortunately I would not recommend anyone plays this course, the tees are terrible (not been cut and bare of grass) the bunkers have no sand and have not been looked after at all, over grown with grass and weeds. Fairways are cut and looked after, but quite a few greens have bare muddy patches.
