Decent enough
First time I've played and was fairly impressed with the course. The pace of play was atrocious though. I was playing in a 4 ball and two 2 balls in front of us were holding up the whole course, despite the fact that the martial was going around checking up on such things, it took until the 14th or 15th hole for anything to be done or said.
Excellent course
Great course and very friendly staff, definitely coming back
A good game for high to mid Handicap players
The whole place has undergone investment and refurbishment.
Thee patio cafe next to the practice green is the jewel in the Crown the staff are so friendly helpful and efficient, when the sun shines out front its a great place to be, outback the driving range has been brought up to date with launch monitors that you can play games on to add a new dimension to practice, great for the evening when at a bay bench you can have a beer and a berger delivered at the same time.
The course is work in progress and is a good course for high to mid Handicap players, it's open fairways and mature trees and grounds make it a great walk not up and down too much and the pace of play reflect the Handicap players it attracts. I would like to see the greens a little faster to make putting more interesting.
A good up and coming course.
Great course
Always good playing here even in the poor weather. Relatively easy course.
Seems in much better condition than it has been in previous years. Greens hold up even when soaking wet. Autumn leaves can make it difficult to see your ball though.
Staff could do with being a bit more welcoming/professional but you get what you pay for.
Driving range is very expensive compared with other clubs not too far away.
Overall good place to hit some golf balls.
Good value
Course conditions have improved since we last played here just after lockdown and we had an enjoyable round. My only concern was that there was no sign of facemasks being worn anywhere. No wonder Northampton is a high risk covid area.
Good for first timers very poor greens
Excellent club house and facilities. Nice wide open fairways so good for beginners and high handicappers however the greens were awful one even had tyre tracks on it. Needs some serious work to make it a good course
Would play again if the greens were better.
Good round
The layout of the course is good. The greens are a bit slow. All in all a good challenge.
Good greens
I have played this course numerous times over the long time I have played golf.
It is now getting the investment that was long overdue.
(Only shame is that it may be Covid-19 that gave them the push)
Lots of extra outdoor seating areas.
Greens in best condition i can remember, given the extreme heat and bare patches elsewhere on the course.
Informed that have new greenkeeper
Friendly course
I’ve played here a few times with different people and enjoy the course. It was a hot day and a nice touch to have a catering buggy offering cold drinks.
