Great round.
Played here for the first time in five years and wasn't disappointed! Course was in good condition and greens were well kept. Only problem was the slow pace but again you would expect this on a Saturday afternoon. Will definitely play here again.
Wet & windy
Played Dibden on a wet and windy day which didn’t show the course in its best light but we could see it has everything you want from a golf course on a better weather day, recommend we will be back
Let dad own by golf now app
Excellent course with friendly staff. Unfortunately my golf now booking didn’t go through so turned up to find no booking for me. The staff were helpful but had to wait for the next available tee off time which was 20 mins after my due start.
Dibden 18 hole course
For £20 a round you can’t really grumble at an 11am tee off. We played off the white tees and this makes this course a good challenge for any golfer. There are tight tree lined fairways and windy conditions to contend with and , plenty of scenery to be admired.
The greens were ok but suffered with a lot of unrepaired pitch marks. The course was busy and we as a two ball got round in 3 and half hours and were held up by an inexperienced 4 ball ahead who let us through after a few holes.
The driving range, putting green and chipping green allow for plenty of practice before you start your round. All in all well worth the money.
Over played
yet again very busy, greens are now suffering and tee boxes really worn.
Does this place sell the worlds most expense soft drinks ?
Paid through Golfnow where there were lots of tee times shown as available, so I booked a time, with lots of free slots either side, to be told on arrival the course was packed and the club doesnt have the same times as Golf Now shows on their site, the two are not connected, and therefore my time was put back 30 minutes or I can play the 9 hole par 3 course twice.
.
I ordered two glasses of lime and soda water.......£6.80 !!!!! what an absolute rip off, we sat outside on the filthy patio area which was desperately in need of a jet wash and clear up of old furniture, a shame as the view would be good of the course, so not a good start.
The course was OK, bare patches round the greens, although the greens were well covered, but so many unrepaired pitch marks where other golfers just couldn't be bothered to repair them.
The pace was pretty slow, but the weather was good, so that helped, and other players were friendly and apologetic about the pace, and although I was called though by a 3 and 4 ball, you couldn't really go anywhere, I was impressed by the friendly course Marshall who did ask If I wanted to get through the 3 ball in front, but there wasn't any point as everywhere was slow, eventually I did go through and could see the reason for the delay, as I ended up on the 15th behind 2 women, and what an experience that was to behold.
We sat behind waiting on a bench on the 17th, and watched them on an uphill par 3,
1st ball shanked right 50 yards, went and fetched it and back to the tee.
2nd ball straight slice into the woods, went and fetched a ball from the trolley.
3rd ball, another shank 50 yards, went and fetched it,
4th ball, slice into the woods, now the crows and squirrels were running for cover. Went to the trolley and fetched another
5th ball, Hoooray, it went around 100 yards to the edge of the wood, and after a conference they decided to walk off the tee and play what was now her 10th shot, not a word to us, no apology for the delay, offer to pay through, obviously delighted with the thought she may crack 20 on this hole?
By now my eyes were clouded over, and for the next 10 minutes I was treated to the sound of golf balls hitting, ash, oak, beech, willow, I think she missed the birch, but couldn't be sure as I was distracted by the Japanese soldier trying to surrender to her, not realising the war was over and never have been subject to such a bombardment.
The 18th took on a similar vein, and I just wanted to get in the car and go, still smarting over the rip off prices for a soft drink, will I return ? only for the entertainment factor.
Great golf
Lovely course in good condition, challenging greens , great for all levels of golfers.
Friendly staff and clubhouse is covid safe
GREAT VALUE
Very very slow play
Would not recommend as the pace of play awful, with no sign of a Marshall to chase people up. Standard of dress let's the place down. Came off at 11 after 3 hours. Waste of 50 pounds.
Mad House
I've played here many times before and overall it's a lovely place to play! Yesterdays visit had far too many people on the course at once , but it's kind of expected at the price.
Course in fabulous condition
Played twice in the last week and course is in great condition.
Dibden
Very reasonable price for a Saturday afternoon round. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in good condition. A good challenge with holes where club selection is key. Really enjoyed this round
Millionaires golf
Booked for a 12.01 T time and the course was fairly quiet, all players kept a good pace and the green keeper/Marshall was very helpful and we enjoyed the golf and the ice cold beer at the 19th hole. Will definitely return.
Testing Course
This was my first round in around 14 years. The course was both forgiving and testing which souncs crazy but true. Can't wait to come back and play more aggressively.
Dibden Day
The course isn't long but it's beautifully set out. It winds its way around the side of a hill overlooking Southampton Docks. Some of the views are stunning. Dibden played very well considering the dry summer we've had. The greens were lush and very receptive and rolled very nicely indeed. We all had a thouroughly entertaining day thank you. We'll be back.
should not mix footgolf and golf!!!
HI
play was very slow-as the club now mix footgolf and golf
on the same course. sunday afternoon there was a big group of children for footgolf-
we let them through-but i think this is dangerous as they could be hit by golf balls, and made play very slow
£15 charge was far to high for a small nine hole course
SW
Excellent value all round
Very impressed with the course. Greens in good order fairways in good condition. All round value for money. Strongly recommend this golf course.
Good greens
Played here on the 19th July 2019 for £15.00. The quality of the greens was fantastic, matching some of the top courses I have played on. Fairways were a bit bare and the front nine is far more interesting than the back nine with some challenging holes. Overall a very enjoyable round on a good solid course
Great hidden gem
Played Dibden for the first time yesterday with our society And everyone praised the course and condition not very long 5700 yards but idea for society’s etc our best score from 30 players was 39 Pts !! So not as easy as it looks !! Lovely course greens great going back for a game this week ... highly recommended and can get a round from £15
Not a bad course good mix of easy holes and some testing holes, quite picturesque with the tree lined course and great views from the club house at the end!
Reading your comment about the 2 slow players made my day!
Brilliant, made me howl, Unfortunately slow play is becoming a real problem on pay and play courses.
