Good conditions for this time of year
For the winter was great still 3 temp greens but other then that was great
Father and son golf day
The course was in superb condition and the greens even though they had been hollow tined had been ironed and running true and slick. It is a great course and I feel a hidden gem on my doorstep almost, I don’t think it is rated highly enough in the area and should be around number 3 really for course and off course facilities
Waste of time and money
Pace of play absurdly slow, people walking on to course half way round and slowing play even more. Course conditions worst Ive played so far and Ive played a lot this last few months really frustrated. Greens were unplayable, terrible conditions and it cant be blamed on weather as every where else ok - belfry derby was light years away in terms of conditions played the day before.
Very disappointed, won’t be going back.
Total waste of money
£40, your having a laugh!!
Course layout is poor it’s basically up & down all holes look the same. That’s not the real problem which is the condition of the course. Tee boxes, fairways and green side fringes are poor but the greens are simply unplayable to day the least. Pitch marks everywhere, lumpy, slow and it hasn’t rained much for a few days. Playing a few of the local courses removes any excuse it’s winter as this course is in a very poor state we did not see a single member of green keeping staff while we endured 4.5 hours of torture.
Avoid
Poor experience
Looked forward to playing this course, how ever left disappointed. Pace of pay from the off was very slow, people joining on course from out of no where didn’t help neither. Could live with that but the greens were awful easily the worst I’ve played and Ive played a lot of courses this last few months. So all in all not a good experience and wouldn’t go back if it was £10 let alone £40 feel like we’ve been ripped off!
Greens were bumpy, poorly dressed or tended too and it cant be blamed on conditions its just poor effort imo.
Lovely Course
Have been trying to get on Druids Heath for a while and was not disappointed.
Had a great tee off time and more or less played millionaires golf with no one in front and no one behind.
Course was in perfect condition, greens ran true and were in great shape. Winter rules was in operation but I don't think any of the group had to pick and place due to a bad lie.
Will definitely return
Great and local for me
I was playing as a one ball, I do have friends but nobody else could make it, tried to pair up with a two ball behind and they said no then on the back nine try to pair up with a three ball and they said no don't know why but I had a good game and I won
3 hours to do nine holes
After paying £42 to play, we walked off after nine holes. Waiting on every shot due to the volume of people playing, we walked off after nine holes !
I’ll be back !
What a great golf course. I played this course in hurricane conditions (well really strong winds) and still enjoyed it. The course it self was in great condition despite the weather. I can’t wait to go back and play it again on a calmer day.
Another great day
Great course. Good layout. Grreens fast even though had rain. Really enjoyed it an d will call again.
Good value. Lovely friendly people.
Not played the course for over 30 years. But we all would say this place is excellent. Really friendly on arrival course very dry and hard but the greens after the weather we had are unberleavable. Dry fast and solid. Will be returning in the future. Thank you druids heath.
Nice tree lined course, some demanding holes. Played front in very good time, but problems on the 10th. I assume a lot of members decided to play the back nine. Very slow play, not asked once if I wanted to play through even though the 3 ball in front of me took an age looking for lost balls. Was a shame as I really enjoyed the course.
Excellent course - worth a visit
Hubby particularly enjoyed it especially the 11th hole where he had a hole in 1 !! Witnessed by 2 pleasant gentlemen who happened to let us through at that point.
Very enjoyable day.
DRUIDS HEATH GOLF CLUB
The course was really excellent. Each hole was unique and in perfect condition . All the holes had different features. All the staff were very friendly especially the golf Manager Gareth who asked us how things were going half way round and then also in clubhouse afterwards . If the opportunity arises we will certainly play again .
