The rain in Spain
After 2 days of rain the course was impressive, it’s a lovely track which we only play in the winter
Lovely course
Dummer is a lovely parkland course, interesting and spacious with challenging holes. Great value!
October Golf
We play here three times a year now March and in the summer always in good condition even if weather has been poor it had rain the last 4 days but course drains well and greens good and true .Suits all handicaps .Has the biggest green side bunker I have ever seen on one of par 3 s and the 18 take some planning to stay out of the
Water and on the good stuff. 16 is also not for the faint hearted .overall well worth a visit have fun we do .
It's OK
A bit scruffier than it used to be, and a few years since I last played it. The holes are in a different order, probably the fourth variation that I have played over 25 years; it doesn't flow particularly naturally and we twice had to help people find the next hole. We have had a dry Spring and Summer (until August) and that shows; the tees and more especially the greens were really patchy. The fairways were pretty good though. We teed off at 7am on a bank holiday and finished 18 holes by 10.15. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a coffee or bacon butty before or after the round. Overall it was OK. An enjoyable course with some challenges. Needs some TLC really.
Abandon ship
Course in great condition, got as far as 7th then rain and lightning curtailed round,, kind gesture by club to give us all a complimentary round valid for 12 months, warm welcome and friendly bar service, hopefully when we return the weather gods treat us a little more kindly.
very nice course
course was in lovely condition, was pretty quiet and pace of play was good. overall good course would come back again.
Lovely course, great condition, varied holes
First time playing here and we found it a really nice course with a good variation of holes, decent undulations but nothing too strenuous to walk.
The greens were in great condition and the lack of rough in places makes it a bit easier to score.
Will definitely be back again.
Great condition
The green are Fantastic fairways nice very well draining
Outstanding condition
Our home club Corhampton was closed for a competition on Sunday so we decided to give Dummer a go. The course was in a superb condition considering the recent weather we have had and we will definitely be returning over the winter. Really easy to get to just off the M3, friendly staff and for £29 for a weekend tee an absolute bargain. Many Thanks
Perfect spot for golf with friends.
Lovely course just off the M3 in Basingstoke yet your can't hear it one bit. Some great par threes and the 18th is a great finishing hole. Fantastic course for £30.
If you're meeting up with people from different places this place is perfect, easy access for everyone and plenty of off course amenities so you ymcan have a catch up afterwards.
Great place for early morning golf
Great course and good value for money just off the M3 in Basingstoke. We had a 7.30 tee time, the staff were all in and setup and the green keeping staff had already been out on the course a while. Really well kept greens, quick and true.
Lots of risk reward holes and some gettable par 4's. The 18th is a great finishing hole of your match is tight and you have to manage your game.
Good clubhouse, quick service, good food and beer.
Slow golf
Alright if you want to stand around for at least 5 minutes every Hole, kinda puts you off your game, wont be going back, shame cause it’s a nice course, But don’t like 5 and a half hour rounds of golf
Great chalk based open course
Great condition, open and varied course, well worth a round!
The fairways are dry due the to hot weather over the past couple of weeks but the greens are playing well,
Great course
Always enjoy playing Dummer. Great mix of holes, always experienced the course in great condition and the staff and clubhouse are always very welcoming.
Unpleasant members
Played this club numerous times before - tee boxes in great condition , shame to say the fairways and greens were not .
The problem we had were the members ! I could not believe how rude they were - I firmly believe if the course is playing a tournament - the tees should be blocked for the duration and not place x2 balls and x3 balls in between them - the x4 balls playing in a match were incredibly slow and very very rude - it's sad to say that their abilities also matched their etticate - Poor ! Shame really - typical small club that the members believe they own !
Good local course
I've played many courses around SP10 (Andover), and Dummer is one of the best for locality and price. Nicely kept, good greens and a bit to think about here and there. <10% of the time you (maybe on a Sunday), you may have a slower round - I once spent over 5 hours...
