like nothing you have played before!

if you like american style manicured tees, greens, flower beds and hanging baskets you will be disappointed, however, if you like your golf raw, old fashioned, golf as it should be with sheep roaming freely across the course (greens protected by electric fencing) great greens a par 3 i am sure you have never played anything like before and a course like nothing you have played before, please give it ago, you will go back, like we did.

Dunnerholme sunny with a moderate breeze

A tight ten hole links course requiring straight tee shots and a good carry. Two feature holes a short steep par 3 onto the Dunnerholm rock outcrop followed by a short par four from the outcrop over a cottage towards a green beyond a stone wall. Too close to wall will require an open faced lob wedge. The tee from the top is in limited use so visitors are likely to have to take their tee shots alongside the cottage by the beach. It’s only 220 yds so bare in mind the wall.

Great course for the price

Great course for the price you pay, visited as I was staying at the caravan park in the area and had a lovely early morning knock on a difficult links course

Very enjoyable

Considering the significant local rainfall the course was in very good condition. There are interesting holes and lovely views to enjoy as you play which made for a great days golf.

Nice course with fantastic views

Played with two frinds just starting out in golf.
Picked a quiet time so progressed at own pace.
Short(ish) 10 hole course with good alternative tees on back 8.
The "infamous " rock hole offers fantastic views of the lake district fella and Cumbria coastline.
Good greens which are well cared for and undisturbed by the grading sheep.
Friendly greenkeeper who responded very quickly to a last minute request for buggy hire.
It was a calm day but I can imagine the test would be more severe in windy conditions.
Would recommend if in the area.

Tricky

A real links course. On the coast plenty of wind. Maybe leave driver in the bag as wind pushes you all over. Well worth a visit. Did not know it existed. Worth a trip and only paid 10pound. Bargain

The rough is challenging

This is a great course with excellent views. Its problem is that the rough is full of gorse bushes, so if you are unlucky enough to hit it, its unlikely that you will find the ball again! The rock is a great challenge and getting over the walls and streams are also interesting. I think that for the experienced golfer it is good fun to have these challenges for the novice its a bit exhausting.
