Enjoyable course
I’ve played here a few times now, I enjoy playing on this course. Although the wether wasn’t that good, the course was in good condition. I would recommend this course to anyone, as long as I’m playing golf I’ll be visiting this course in the future. 🏌️♂️⛳️🏌️♂️⛳️
Well kept and interesting course
The layout of the course was very nice. Not too long, so suitable for a good range of players. The greens were particularly good.
Definitely recommended.
Pleasant Game!
3 of us played the course on a Tuesday night. Course was fairly quiet and we were round in just over 3hrs.
Good layout, some nice holes. Greens soft, receptive and quick!
Had a drink in the bar but too late for food.
Shot mid 80s and considering 4 x 6s was quite pleased as hadn't played to for 6 weeks...
I would say a bit overpriced at £30 for a twilight round.
Would play again though.
Great atmosphere
Played here for the first time and on arrival was meet by a couple of members who were extremely friendly. The young lad in the pro shop gave me so advice on the course and was very professional.
The course layout I thought was great as a newbie to golf there was some tricky holes but very enjoyable.
Definitely be back and would recommend to others thinking of playing at Durham.
Really Impressive Course
Really impressed by this beautiful course. Each hole was interesting, no long boring up and downs, lots of challenging greens with generous fairways. Look forward to playing here again soon.
Excellent
I’ve played DCGC as a junior numerous times (I was mount Oswald member). I’m now living away & visiting family.
Yesterday the course was in excellent conditions- greens were the best I had ever played them.
Good atmosphere around the club/pro shop.
The condition was a credit to the green staff & club management.
I will play again

Excellent Find
I managed to get a hot deal for £15 for a Sunday afternoon.
The greeting in the pro shop was second to none. All the members were so welcoming.
The greens and fairways are in immaculate condition.
Its definitely a hidden gem and fantastic value for money. I will be playing here again soon
Hidden Gem

Durham City Golf Course
First time playing here, Have to say, from going into the golf shop, club house for a coffee, it was very nice, Staff are very good, The course for the time of year was very good, I will definitely go back as soon as possible, It must be very good in the summer. 10/10
Soggy time
The greens are diabolical after a bit rain.. stay away till the summer 🤬
Will be back
This was a last minute decision to play here as it’s quite a distance for me to get to but I’m glad I did. The staff were friendly and the pro shop gave me any info on local rules and what was happening since it was my first time here. I was immediately let through by a fourball on the 1st as I was a single. I caught another single later but was never held up. The course was great. Quite a test of skill with some challenging holes with water. Great layout overall. It was a bit soggy as we’d had a lot of rain recently but the course was still in good condition. I will definitely be back in the summer to play when I have no doubt this course will be excellent and picturesque. The only downside was I had to miss the last 3 holes due to Thunderstorm and I thought for the time of year it was a bit pricey but will be worth it in summer months.
Winter Golf
Courses throughout the North East struggled to open their doors to members and visitors alike during an unprecedented November period of torrential rain, however, Durham City opened its doors and conditions were more than acceptable with all greens in excellent condition, drained and open for play. As visitors we were provided with a wealth of information prior to our round by John in the Pro Shop and the Bar Staff were more than welcoming post round.
