A must visit

This course is a real surprise starting as a heathland course into a bit of parkland back into heathland with a feel of links on a few never dull and a pleasure to the eye as well as a challenge. Hard but fair rewarded for good play certainly punished for bad.
Quality layout in superb condition at a third of the cost. What are you waiting for? Can't wait to return x

Great Views and a fair test of golf

East Devon is a cracking course and provides you with a decent variety of holes. The fairways are reasonably generous and the heather that lines most of them is of a length that will punish an errant shot but doesn't force a reload for a lost ball. The greens were excellent and their subtle borrows were a large part of the courses defence.

The views were absolutely superb and one of the holes (7th) had a drive reminiscent of the 17th at Wentworth and yet on reaching the green it felt like Augusta (McKenzie designed East Devon and Augusta).

I was able to play East Devon for nothing thanks to a voucher I received from a website I signed up for. I will be returning - even when I have to pay.

East Devon May 2017

Fantastic course ,in fact the best i have played.Great variation of holes but each is a picture.Greens were superb ...sooo fast .Lovely sand in bunkers which were a dream to play out of .Outstanding views made for a great round however could just do with some better signage for a newby playing the course as to where the next tee is so you can drag your trolley in that direction..

Best in the South West

Without doubt, one of the best courses in SW England.

Reckoned to have some of the best views in golf; especially over the last 3 holes

A great reception from Trevor in the pro Shop and afterwards in the clubhouse

Course isn't that long but runs like a scalded cat off the fairway into punishing gorse if you're wayward off the tee. Greens were in good order and putted true

Definitely returning

A great day of golf

This was the first time I had used tee off times or played East Devon.
The Professional confirmed our time and everything went smoothly.
The course is absolutely excellent and a must play if you are in the area. There is a wonderful variety of holes with every one posing a challenge. The views towards the end of the round are exceptional.
The layout is challenging but fair and good scoring is possible with sensible play.
Course condition was amazing and the greens were lightning fast!
It is quite up and down and so trolley is recommended.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming both in the Course and in the clubhouse.
