Cedar Creek Municipal Golf Course
About
Cedar Creek is consistently rated one of the top muni courses in the USA. The hill country layout is challenging for all levels of play. Gold tees are available for scratch golfers. Some players feel that the narrow fairways allow the ball to roll to the center, but this is not evident to most players. Ride this one... it's real hard to walk. Because of it's popularity, the crowded course can play very slow. Go early or allow five hour rounds on really nice days. However, it's so pretty and great to play it's worth the time. If you can find a nice December day when the younger set is in school, that's the day to play Cedar Creek
Distance: Allow 30 minutes minimum from downtown. From I-10 going west, exit Loop 1604, then go west 3 miles to the Kyle Seale Pkwy. Turn right and drive 2 miles to the course. Watch real close for signs to clubhouse, which is on the left side of road up a long paved road.

Course In Average Shape
Pace of play was really good but the course is dry fairways ,tee boxes and greens need water bad ...the well is being repaired so hopefully they can start watering the course again.
5 hour round
I have played several twilight rounds. Went out at 2:09 Tuesday. Super slow round. Beginners were being allowed to play off competition tees - painfully slow. To add insult, there was no drinks cart, water was empty on 12 th tee and when I finally finished at 710 pm all the facilities in the clubhouse were closed. Had to drive to 2 miles to get a post round drink. Pretty shabby for $48 a round.
Amazing 18th hole
Course was as great as it was the first time I played it
Greens fairways are well maintained
It's by far my favorite
tough greens
Cedar Creek is in excellent shape. It is narrow but fair. The greens are very undulating and can be difficult depending on the pin placement. Great place to play.
Very Challenging
This is a very scenic course, but is very challenging because so many of the lies you find yourself in require playing the ball on a slope. Management has removed some of the water hazards from a few years ago, but the fairways are bordered with heavy rough so accuracy is a must to stay out of trouble. Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in good shape.
great value!
Played over thee holidays and as expected the course was packed. Nevertheless, we had a great time and strongly recommend Cedar Creek.
Check course maintance before
Overall good round. Was still able to put a 75 together even with the back nine greens full of sand. I guess they airated them. Would have been good if they mentioned it when booking a tee time. That was my only problem considering I could have played the Hyatt or la cantera for 10 bucks more. Don't forget to ask if that have done any maintance to their greens, just my $0.02
Great Day on the Course
Greens and fairways were in good shape. Play from a different box and it is entirely different course.
Fun and challenging
The course was in great shape. It is challenging yet playable. This is a course you need to play multiple times to learn the course. Tee ball location is critical. Yardage markers are abundant and accurate. I had a very nice time and can't wait to try the course again.
Don't try and walk this course.
Great Course
Very Nice course with awesome hill country views. Course requires alot of precise tee shots as most fairways are very hilly. Fairways were great condition along with greens. This course has a La Cantera feel as its literally just right down the road from it.
Great round of golf
Good course, good facilities, very good over-all.
I will return to play again. Course was in good conditio
Great shape!
The recent rains have done wonders to the overall conditions of the courses here around San Antonio. It's been a year since I've played Cedar Creek, and it's in great shape!
Cedar Creek
The greens were a little spotty in some areas, but that is understandable due to the heat. Little bumpy
Great Condition
My friend and I enjoyed the course, a few downers though, the kitchen was closed. we saw a drink cart coming are way on the 8th hole and my friend walked out to wave them down but they turned around and we did not see them the rest of the day.
We was sent out at 11:00 am our tee time was 11:27 am the starter was just sending everyone out one behind the other so naturally things stayed backed up the whole time. We had a 5 hr outing that lasted in to the heat of the day....
Cedar Creek Municipal Course
Very difficult course. No room for error off the tee box. Great views. Can be slow pace of play, on weekends definitely. Played on a Wednesday and most of the water jugs were empty on a 98 degree day. Called pro shop and they did bring out water. Greens were a little bumpy on front nine but back nine greens were smooth. Bunkers were in poor condition.
Loved It!
The fairways were close but rewards a good shot. Maybe one of the best public courses we have played.
Cedar Creek
As always, the course was in very good shape. Green were true. Many slope shots that call for proper club selection and distance control. Course management is important to score well on this challenging course. I think Cedar Creek is one of the best public courses in San Antonio.
slow play and bad greens
5 hour round...greens in terrible shape on the front nine...back were much better.
Overpriced Mickey Mouse Course
Greens & fairways are in pretty bad shape and the overall layout is weird. This course does not reward distance drivers, instead you might lose your ball when driving far & straight down the middle. The greens were very fast & varied on condition: most were in below average shape. I wouldn't waste your money here.
cedar creek
The putting green was shut down and the pace of play was for a twosome 5 hours. We waited on every hole and no Marshall to push pace of play.
