Parkland course
Excellent Parkland course. Really enjoyed. Pins in tricky positions that day as there was a competition on and there were some hidden bunkers. Greens good. Overall would like to play again.
Exeter Golf and County Club
We booked a tee time via teeofftimes on 7/3/2019, the course layout is faitly good, however a little enclosed around holes 11-15 with the risk of stray balls. The course unfortunately had a few temporary greens and all temporary tees , which would have been good to know, before paying and turning up on the 1st tee. Overall a nice parkland course, i will revisit if i can get the right price and the right time to play it's full length etc.
Great course that’s very well looked after. fairways were like playing on carpet and the greens were firm and true.
Could be more welcoming to visitors.
Played this course on several occasions with my Son. Great course to play but if your not a member the staff don't want to know you. When we signed in at the pro shop the impression I got from the staff that served us was that we were an inconvience to all the members that was playing that day. Even the clubhouse was not very accommadating, the staff even asked what we were doing there when we tried to buy a pint because we never had a member's card, they don't seem to want visitors.
Wow
From tee to green this is by far the best course in Devon
Superb course well worth playing
Played in 2 ball today And had a great round, ground very dry with the recent weather, it greens were in excellent condition. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Definently play again.
Upset
We were told
By staff at club there were 6 Temp greens when we played there was actual all 18 temp greens, understand this work has to be done, would have been nice to have a choice before we got there
Lovely course for all kind of handicaps, as well men and wonen.
Absolutely stunning
Even in the middle of a hot spell the greens were a treat played some fine golf. As a two we were let through by two groups of four that made are round all the more enjoyable
As always superb
Almost wish I lived in Exeter so I could be a member at this course. It’s always in great condition and the staff are amazing
Stunning
My 5th visit to this gem. Considering were still in April the course was in superb condition. And the greens were sublime. Not a blemish or pitch mark on any of them. Like putting on a snooker table. The whole experience was a privalage. Will be returning.
good course to get back into game.
This is an excellent course to work way back into game. Short and long holes with trees, bunkers and some water to contend with. But not too difficult and easy to keep eye on stray balls. Course given the bad weather through winter was good.
Always lovely to play here
A relatively easy course if you can keep it straight and it’s always in very good condition. The pro in the shop was brilliant and friendly which always sets out up for a good day.
Wet weather
Unfortunately due to very poor weather we were only able to play the 13 holes tha were open with mostly temp greens
Nice Course
A decent well maintained golf course for this time of year. Friendly members and well worth a visit if in Devon
A manicured parkland beauty
I’ve played this Course about 6/7 Times now and on each occasion the course has been in excellent condition with perfect fairways and fast true greens.
It is not a long course (mainly on account of 3 short par fours in the back nine) but a combination of mature trees, well placed bunkers and relatively small greens make this a strong test of your game.
Accuracy rather brute force is required but this is a fair course and an interesting layout.
The standout holes are mainly on the front nine although the sharp dog leg fifteenth and the superb par 5 eighteenth are also great holes.
I would recommend trying to book in the afternoon whenever possible because it seems to be very busy most mornings.
Good but uneventful course
Course was fairly busy which isn't unusual. Despite the course being popular it doesn't seem to have a detrimental effect on the condition of the course. The course is flat and well laid out although we inadvertently missed out a couple of holes (no map on the card either) and went back to them at the end. No real memorable holes and with no significant rough, apart from numerous bunkers, it's a course you can score well on.
