Great course and club
The course was in excellent condition. Tee boxes well looked after as were the fairways and greens. Luckily I didn't hit a bunker on this round but they looked well maintained. The course can be unforgiving at times if wayward with your drive, as I lost the odd ball here and there. Staff were great as were the facilities. One of the best courses I have played in the Bristol / BANES area. Especially good value with a hot deal. I will be coming back soon.
Good fall day golfing
Nice course. Good views.
Course was in good shape. Good value for the money.
Heat Bristol area golf
This was my second time to play this course. The first was during the summer...with a bit of drought.
The course was in good shape. Greens seemed to be a little inconsistent and a few areas of poor grass on the fairways kept me from giving it the highest marks.
Overall a really good course.
Warm up round, sun 020918
Pace of play very poor as members didn't speed up when prompted to do so politely. Condition of course very good and some challenging holes and speedy greens to battle with.
Fantastic weekend golf experience in Somerset
As visitors to the area, we managed to get a weekend ‘Hot Deal’. Everything was perfect from the service to the facilities.
The course is a fair test of golf
My only comment is that some the holes from green to tee are long.
The golf course was in good condition and we both enjoyed the course, but would hire a buggie next time
Good course Good service
Very enjoyable course even when a bit damp and windy. Great mix of challenging and interesting holes. Service is good in the shop ans the bar/restaurant. Always enjoy playing here.
A great course
Played this with my father a couple of times not and we agree it's a great course and very good VFM. The first 6 holes are pretty tough and the last few are pretty tricky too. Very, very nice greens, good grass, well watered and well looked after bunkers.
Only criticism is the customary signs urging golfers to run around the course at top speed, there is no way pensioners and women can play that fast.
Farrington Golf Club
Had a great day out. The weather helped as it was a sunny day. We were a two ball behind a four ball but it wasn't to slow. We were not pressed from behind. Greens were a bit slow but understandable for this time of year. Good test of golf with some lovely signiture holes. I'd recommend it for a good test of golf. Give it a try.
Just a little disappointing
The course was in good condition but several holes had been shortened.....by too much in my opinion. There were opportunities to protect the existing tees ( good move) but the replacements didn't have to be 100m further towards the greens! Still a great course to play and not to be missed.
Pace a real issue
A potentially really enjoyable experience absolutely ruined by dreadful pace of play. A four ball in front who had no idea of golf etiquette and a 3 ball in front of them who spent most of the time searching for balls whilst refusing to let anyone play through. 1hr 30 to play 6 holes was enough and headed back to the car.
