Good Course
Greens in excellent condition. A couple of really difficult holes where you'd better have either a long drive or the ability to chip over 50ft high trees if you don't!
Well worth a repeat visit.
Nice course play a few times unfortunately it’s probably mostly to do with the weather the course was pretty wet under foot tee box’s could do with some work the best part was the greens
Nice layout
1st time I've played the course in over 20 years, it had held up well considering all the rain over the festive period and was in pretty good condition. The greens were very very wet but played remarkably well, only 2 temporary tees. Very slow pace of play sadly due to a senior's competition, but apart from that an enjoyable round of golf.
Great weather/greens
Played Saturday for the first time. The fairways and greens were in good condition. There are around 6 tee boxes that need attention but overall its a nice course albeit a little too easy. Good for honing your short game skills as the greens were running true and receptive. There are some long distances between green and next tee on a fair few of the holes, so if like us didn't know where to go can be a walk. I would get a buggy for this reason. Buggy hire reasonable at £19 with green fees at £30 a very reasonable round of golf. Highlight was the quality of the greens.
long walk!
interesting layout with some long hikes between green and tee, tees poorly maintained but greens were well kept and receptive, would play again but in a buggy and during a normal British summer, with frequent periods of rain!
Great course
Only problem was clubhouse wasn't open at booked tee-off time. Had to ask group booked behind us where to find scorecards. A couple of greens had been tined, but fair enough... apart from that the course was immaculate. Really enjoyed the holes. Some tough approaches and tight drives... challenging but fun
Foresters golf course
Only played this course a couple of times l think it is a really well kept course with good fairways and really good greens the staff are always friendly and helpful l will be playing again soon and will recommend to anyone to give it a try
First time at this course in very good condition and not busy at all l will be returning very soon some really good driveable par 4s and a variety of par 3s.
Good condition
Greens and fairways in great condition given it is late October.
lovely little gem
having not been here in about 15 yrs, it was a round of nostalgia for my playing partner and i. was not disappointed. there are some holes with sprawling fairways to boom the driver, and then others with OOB either one side or the other, or both, to make you think twice. par 3s are some long some short. greens were in good condition and receptive to approach shots. hollow tined about 2 weeks ago, and healed well. some tee boxes were a bit shabby, but these were one over shadowed by large trees too.
Forrester Park
Pretty parkland course hidden away amongst the better known courses in the area. Friendly welcoming atmosphere and staff and a lovely old clubhouse building.
Very quiet out on the course both in terms of numbers of players and any ambient noise. which made the round a very pleasant experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our round and will be back again am sure.
great condition
First time played this year due to covid, course in super condition now. Greens receptive and reasonably fast, fairways slightly lush, but still a little bounce and roll. Only minus is bunkers but that's the same everywhere with no rakes, still managed two sand saves despite. Staff and greenkeepers all friendly and courteous while playing. Well worth a visit .
Good course to practice on
Overall good short course. Lots of mid iron par 4s (260-330 yards) and some short par 5s.
The course map is on the back of the card...and it is needed.
Great use of trees and some good use of space.
Some respectful members let me through at the earliest opportunity. Then another pair of members held me up for 4 holes before letting me through.
Very poor tee boxes.
Over all the course was in quite good condition but it does have a wierd layout and some very wierd holes.
The tee boxes were its real downfall, very uneven, grass was way too long, like hitting out of the rough and some of them barely had any grass at all! Just loose soil!
Matured over the years
First visit here for a long, long time. Matured nicely since adding the extra nine holes a while back. But still a little confusing with blind shots a plenty, giving the impression the course has fit into a space slightly too small. Greens in good condition but the tee boxes were disappointing, needed mowing and were somewhat in a mess.
Overall though, decent value for money.
Definitely playing here again
Great course with several distinctive sections, very pretty course, a hidden gem considering some bigger named courses close by, but definitely give this place a shot, a course to test your accuracy and iron game.
