Great challenge
Gatley Golf Course is a great challenge for all olayers, there are some long and challenging holes with varying hazards to take into account. Well worth a visit if you are interested in playing, it is only a 9 hole course but still well worth playing, as some holes have slightly different tee positions to mix up the holes and difficulty.
Difficult greens
The greens are hard to hold and extremely fast ie like links. Otherwise a pretty well kept course. The 8th and 9th are particularly tricky holes.
There is better
Not bad, but noisy with planes flying overhead and very mossy greens. Bunkers poor but some nice challenging holes
Nice course
Nice place to play for a beginner. Nice course, friendly staff and well looked after course. Good value for money and would recommend.
Good Challenge For Beginners + Intermediates
This is a good course for those looking to progress from playing par 3 courses as there are no par 5s on this course. The holes all offer something a little bit different whether that be long par 4s, a sharp dog leg to the right, an approach into a tight green, a par 3 green surrounded by bunkers as well as an undulating 8th hole that is narrow and positioning is at a premium. A good challenge for handicappers in their 20s an above, perhaps not worth it to those playing to 18 and below.
Excellent little course with friendly staff.
Great little course with some very challenging holes. Use it while you can, as the land has been sold for development. Such a shame for a club over 100 years old.
Great 9 hole course a little gem
My son & I played 18 holes here for the first time ever. I wish I had found this earlier. I understand it is to be built on nearly 300 houses have planning in to destroy this superb facility Lovely course friendly people this course deserves to survive and delight more players for years to come.
Lovely Course
Nice course. Friendly welcome and little description of the course layout.
Interesting course poorly looked after
Pro shop and club house were both closed and the course is poorly sign posted for the confusing layout it has (have to go over the bridge to the first tee, then come back over to the 6th-9th) if it wasn't for a helpful chap with directions we'd of started on the 6th....
The layout is interesting and gives some challenges but poorly signed so the front nine was spent figuring out which tees were for what.
Abit of investment and passion would make this a great course
Very disappointed I would like a refund
I arrived to play 18 holes, paying £40, looking forward to a round with my daughter who was home for the first time in 3 weeks. We had looked forward to spending time playing as we both love playing golf. The club house and pro shop both closed no toilets no changing facilities or refreshments. We only played 5 holes as the toilet was required. There was no players score cards to indicate where holes and hazards were located.
Could please contact myself with regards a refund

Nice course and looked after
Course was really good, fairways were nicely cut and enjoyable to play. Didn’t realise when I booked for 18 it was 9 holes twice but as this was first time playing here didn’t mind as I understood a bit more where I want to be on the back 9. Some of the tees do sit differently and definitely a challenge. Overall very enjoyable course and would recommend anyone to go for a nice knock around. Lacks a par 5 unfortunately that was my only gripe.
Summer stroll
Had a great 18 holes here in baking hot conditions, pity every green had a sprinkler in action but understood why, course just right for a beginner
Affordable but not great course
Fees were reasonable but coarse condition average, greens not great, some of tees in poor condition.
Overall for new golfers was fairly forgiving coarse if not the most well kept, but fairly reflected in fees.
Worth 9 holes but at right price
Quiet afternoons golf
Great afternoons golf with 3 mates, everywhere all locked up just the green keeper pottering about, picked up a scorecard outside the club shop and away we were, no queues and greens and fairways decent, no par fives but a couple of tricky holes, highly enjoyable
