10th hole, the only par 5 Photo submitted by u314160039333 on 09/29/2020
Great course for mid handicappers
I play 20
I love haste hill because it is a well designed variable course - no doing laps here. There is only one 5 par but a couple of the 4's are long so you need to keep in the fairway and out of the ditches. I recommend a 3 or 5 wood off a few of the tees. The 6th is one of my favourite holes on any course and I like the 9 and 18.
I scored it down on condition because there are a couple of bunkers that have been in construction for as long as I have played there but otherwise the fairways are good and the greens are nice.
For a late afternoon game Haste Hill is top value and a really nice playable course
Worst course in the area
Completely neglected course, couldn’t tell the difference between the rough, fairways and greens at some points. We spent more time searching for our balls in the 6 inch fairway grass than actually playing.
Save your money and play anywhere else
Boggy Round
No fault of the course, but it was sodden throughout. Rough hadn't been cut for a while , and even on fairway s was difficult to find balls. Will leave it alone for a few weeks , and hope it dries up.
A shame
I have played this course on numerous occasions in the past. It’s a shame such a beautiful course is not maintained anywhere near to the level it should be. Fairways and the rough are pretty poor. Even when you know the direction of your ball, you will be hard pressed to find it. The greens are also not at the level you would expect. A shame given how beautiful and well laid out the overall course is. Not withstanding the recent winter conditions, the general maintenance of this course has a lot to be desired.
Apalling
Real shame to leave such a bad review, but we walked off after the second hole. The fairways were the same as the rough. Asked for money back, was told no by Golf shop.
Good value
It's a course that has never faired well during the winter. It's wet underfoot. However the course is good value for money still
Gone downhill
Used to be my go to course for golf but have been really disappointed with the course this year. Feel the course would benefit by being flipped around, so hole 10 becomes hole 1 and hole 1 becomes hole 10. Would make the course far more enjoyable. The member of staff who dealt with us was incredibly rude and uncooperative, it was 30+ degrees and refused to let us use a buggy at 1:30 despite us waiting around when a buggy became available. Left us in a bad mood for the round really. The course itself is fine, some holes could be in better shape but overall decent. But nothing at Haste Hill really draws me to the course like others do, so I will certainly be thinking twice about using the course as much next year.
Been playing this course for the past 5 years, this is the worst I’ve seen it. Greens in shocking condition, very patchy! Fairways are in poor condition, bunkers have grass going in them. Very poorly maintained considering we’ve had a summer of rain. Quality of the course has gone down and the prices have gone up. Very disappointing.
Good Course, good value for money
It is a nice course with loads of Par 4 mainly straight.
The fairways were in good conditions but the green suffered this summer...
Some of them were really dry with not much grass left on some spots.
It is still playable and nice but don't expect perfect putts ;)
A well-looked-after public course
The course was in good condition after a very wet summer. I've played here quite a few times over the years without ever being a regular. It is worth being aware that it is quite hilly on many holes. You do get a few golfers who are more at the beginner stage of their golfing journey and a bit slow but I've generally found that groups in front will let me through if I am playing faster than them, and, other players are generally friendly. This course is very picturesque with a variety of trees and has an interesting mix of holes with 2 that are around the 100-yard mark and some longer holes including a par five and some long par fours that are challenging to reach in 2. Although it isn't the longest course, it isn't easy as there are a number of well-designed bunkers, plus some ditches and other hazards that have to be negotiated. It is good to see that the clubhouse has reopened (now as a restaurant) which makes the whole place a bit more sociable and welcoming. I would recommend playing here as a great example of a well-looked-after public course.
Haste hill
Fairways were dry , greens were very patchy and super fast and the rough was very long
the course is in a terrible state
there’s no grass left on a lot of the greens just mud so putting is terrible the fairways are like a football pitch the tee boxes are like the rough the course has been left to deteriorate badly so avoid playing there give in a year hopefully thy will get there house in order and start to fix the problem
Course in terrible condition
Unfortunately Haste Hill has gone down massively lately and after Kane left as a green keeper. It’s not unmanaged.by Hillingdon care about the regular golfer and by the time sort out this mess, all the decent golfer will be gone a
Save your money.
We’ve always liked playing Haste Hill it’s a real pity the course has had no work done to it and it’s in a very poor state. The greens are the worst we have seen anywhere (we’ve played approximately 30 courses this year) after speaking with other players on the course we all said it’s in a really bad state and for £27 a complete robbery. We certainly won’t be going back anytime soon. This review has come from several people so be warned.
Haste Hill weekend round
Good course for a pay and play. Overall layout was good, greens very slow. No complaints other than pace of play, up to three groups waiting on some holes.
