Really pleasant reception from the pro before the round and in the bar afterwards. Enjoyed the course layout which gives you a chance as a high handicapper . The greens were true and fast. Will definitely return.

Superb greens. A shame the course is shortened from mid-october. I was hoping it would still be a relatively full length course at this time of year but don’t let this put you off. Very wet in places but the fairways were pretty dry overall. I will be back in the sunnier months to play this course at its best!

Just back from a memorable afternoon playing Helsby for the first time. Thoroughly recommend this lovely mature parkland course. A really warm welcome and course in first class condition. Greens especially impressive. Not the stiffest test course wise but a proper, satisfying challenge for sure. A credit to the club . And amazing value. Wiill definitely hope to return.. Played on one of the hottest days of this year...

Flat course and a nice walk with some interesting holes. Greens looked like they would be fast but were slower than we thought. A few holes where you cross greens but overall this is not a problem. Only downside was the lack of sand in bunkers, needed to play a wedge. However overall what a splendid day.

The weather was great and so was the general condition of the course. I have played here many times in the past, and it has always been a pleasure to play and enjoy a drink with their very welcoming staff afterwards.

Played helsby for first time today. It's a fabulous course in superb condition. This is by far the best course I've played in the north west for quite some time. I highly recommend you play here. I'm looking forward to another round here. Top marks helsby

We arrived at the club to book in to find the pro shop locked and empty so we wandered to the club house and pressed a buzzer for the bar and sure enough a friendly voice asked if we needed help and let us in we found the pro upstairs getting lunch he quickly came down and booked us in we then discovered we couldn't use our trolleys because we didn't have Hedgehog tyres but we were offered free pull trolleys or hire electric ones for £5 which we did
The course is pretty flat but not featureless it offers something for everyone and it offers a fair examination of most aspects of your golf game some tight holes some others you can open your shoulders and let it rip all in all one to replay in the summer months again most definitely
