Worth a visit
Very good greens with a little work in progress.
Lush wide fairways , nice short second cut,
a credit to the green-staff , friendly staff too.
Doubt you would be disappointed .
Nice price.
interesting course
at first glance an open course, but still challenging at times, need your straight game as plenty of chances to get in thick rough, or long grass between fairways, good layout with only 2 chances of playing the wrong hole but well signposted. good dry day and course dry and well cut, bunkers with plenty of sand depth, overall a good days golf, such good value we played again on the sunday, only downside no food after 4 pm on a sunday, but at least the bar was open although t v reception was rubbish for the world cup game.
A great course to improve your game
Nicely kept course. Quite long, with mainly wide fairways so suited to big-hitters and novice players.
The greens are good and quick and the views outstanding on the back nine.
Poorly kept
This is a course which is no longer looked after, the greens were in a bad condition.
Good open game
Both my friend and I hadn’t played for sometime and needed a course with open fairways but challenge big holes. This course gave us both and considering the wet spring was in very good condition. Greens were perhaps a little fast , god help anyone playing the greens as the summer drys them out. Good day superb food and friendly bar staff.
Great day's golf
Course in superb condition for the time of year. Three holes were closed but this did not compromise our enjoyment of the day. Fairways were in good nick and greens were true and surprising fast for the wet conditions.
Facilities in the clubhouse are good and staff are friendly and helpful. Would be helpful for visiting golfers to have a bit more signage on the course (e.g. a diagram of each hole on the tee, 150 marker posts etc).
Overall an excellent course and we had a great round. Very good value - the course we played the day before was morte expensive and nowhere near in as good condition.
Enjoyable
Nice course on main greens in January' can't complain at all.
Henley
Always like playing here' shame about the slow play or not getting called through' especially when holes in front are clear...3 hour 15 mins golf course for a 3 ball...can take 5 hours.
Awesome course
Played on a Saturday afternoon, course was really quiet and in beautiful condition. Nice long course, fast great condition greens. At £15 was absolute fantastic value. Will be back.
Course was good but very slow
Unfortunately must have chosen a busy day. The round took us 5 hours 20 minutes. Very slow
Course was in excellent condition and a pleasure to play.
Long course but excellent golfing
This is the second time I have played Henley in the summer months and really enjoyed it. The course is long and coming up the 520 yard slightly uphill 18th hole you know it! The greens were lovely, if most were fairly flat. They were in the process of feeding with Miracle grow. The medium rough is fairly forgiving but the long rough is not! Some of the holes are a bit up and down but as a medium ability golfer I would recommend the course. The staff were very friendly and the food and drink range excellent. There is a good outside seating area with umbrella's so nice and relaxing after a long game! Enjoy!!
Great evening at Henley
I found Henley on late tee off times and it was very cheap at only £12.50 a round. Staff in pro-shop very approachable and friendly and thank goodness they suggested having extra balls as I certainly needed them!
Course itself is very long but in very nice condition considering the recent dry weather. Enjoyed the odd bit of water around the 4th/5th hole.
Would definitely recommend this course for anyone who is a more frequent golfer then myself!
Henley In Arden Golf Course
A Great Course in excellent condition. A good test for all standards of golfers. Friendly pro and staff. Highly Recommended.
Excellent Condition
Course in best condition for years. The investment on the course has paid off. Looking forward to playing again.
Drainage slots need slight attention
Henley Golf Club
Played this course with a friend on a Monday starting just after 12.00. The course was quiet and playing well with the grass on the greens in good condition and the greens surface flat and true. There was one hole where the green was out of action due to some work taking place but overall we were very happy considering the price we paid. There are some smaller trees that will make the course more difficult as they mature. It's quite a long way to walk around but the views are glorious from the top of some of the higher parts of the course
Gem of a course
Had a very warm welcome at the Pro Shop which made me feel as though I was a member. The club Pro was very informative, made me aware of colours of the different yardage markers, flag positions, general overview of the course and pointed me in the right direction of the 1st as it was my first visit.
The course didn't disappoint, a relatively new course from what I gather, so a lot of young trees gives you the impression it's an open course but it isn't as easy as it looks. There are some really well designed holes, well complimented by the landscape, tight (but fair - risk/reward) fairways and tear drop greens - guaranteed to test your overall game.
I really enjoyed the mix of Par-3s, there are only 3 on the course but they are all of variable length.
Greens were in good nick and are only going to improve over the summer. No wishing you could place on the fairways, they were well kept. My only criticism on the course would be the tee boxes need a bit of attention, a cut and a bit of a level out wouldn't go amiss.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will certainly be back again soon. For £12.50 on TeeOffTimes you honestly can't go wrong, you are getting a lot of golf for the money.
The only thing of disappointment throughout the day was in the 19th - what should've been the cherry on the top! The facilities are excellent but someone really needs to remind Bar Manager that beer lines need to be cleaned regularly. I will reviewing this on my next visit.
Lovely day out.
This course was in tip top condition with only one thing letting it down, green were fast and true, fairways and semi rough well kept but the sand in the bunkers was a strange constancy. Really fine but also with many stone.
I don't want to give the impression that the course was bad because we had a fantastic days golf and look forward to visiting again.
Great course but very slow
Couldn't fault the course and clubhouse, unfortunately the pace of play was very slow and resulted in us walking off after 9 holes
