You get what you pay for
Let me start with saying the Mosquitos are really bad , attacked me as soon as I got in cart. Greens was very old and hole was filled with water so I couldn't even putt. I mean to get strokes in it's ok .
Get what you pay for.
Very cheap to play however, the course is a reflection of the price. Greens are in terrible condition but, fairways are decent.
Great for practice
Always a friendly staff and it is easy to get on the course.
Best place to fine tune your game
Every hole is challenging, Everything looks easy, but not so. water comes in play in every hole. Putting green is not maintained well. but what can you expect at this low rate. Fairways are narrow and challenging. When I first booked tee time for 10$, I taught it could be a junk course. After playing 3 holes, I felt challenging. I will go every week.
Great Course, Great Location, Great Staff.
This is a great 9 hole course to enhance your golf game, the staff (Ernie, JT and I think the other man is Sean) are very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is why on Saturday, May 15th 2015 was a woman walking her dog on the golf course while her husband drove the golf cart and played golf. I thought the course was for golfers not women to walk their dogs. My golfing partner and I are trying to focus on our game and there’s a dog barking on the golf course. If the dog bit a golfer, could we sue the dog owner and the golf course?
Low quality
Paid 10 per person for 9 hole course. The greens are the worse greens I have ever seen. In fact don't even bring your putter. The course has too many par 3s. But I knew this going in so it wasn't an issue. Not worth the money and I would advise against going here
course closure
course is scheduled to close 1 Nov.........and it shows.
for $10 at best u can atleast practice accuracy, forget putting. This use to be a great track, poor advertising and marketing had mainly contributed to it's demise
Soooo Long Georgia Trail was nice playing you in your prime...............
Needs To Be Closed
This is the sixth time I have come to this course, I usually check in once a year to see if the course has made any changes, but to my dissatisfaction it again disappoints. I have pictures of how bad the greens are, they are loaded with crab grass, not to mention the range is a mess. This will be the absolute last time I play here, I beg of you don't continue to support this course until they start valuing you as a customer and provide you with a better product besides good golf carts.
Run of the mill
Super friendly staff, the greens are not good, ball looks like a basketball dribbling when putting. The cart they gave us died on 6, the replacement died on 9 but the staff went above and beyond to take care of us. OK course for the money pace of play very good so of your just looking to squeeze in a quick 9 this place will do
Very inexpensive course
This course is a good value for a beginner golf to practice. The only negative thing I can say is the staff needs to work on the grass for the greens, fairways, and driving range.
This course has a nice layout
The layout of the course is above average for an executive course. The fairways were in good shape however the greens were not in good shape at all. If you are working on your iron play this is a good course to do so. Good value for the money.
Fun little course
Short holes and laid back atmosphere made for a fun 9 holes. A little swampy conditions early in the day and a couple rough patches on the greens, but it's a course anyone can play and our foursome plans on going back soon.
Start practicing here first
GA Trails is a family friendly course that I love to share with friends and family. As an amateur golfer I love to play here for getting my long shot direction and short game up to par (no pun intended). It’s always clean but the green are under-kept which makes it hard to get a fair rating on my putting improvement. I plan playing there as a measure for upping my game.
What a GREAT little find
I only just moved here and when I heard the $10 rate... I was a little skeptical. But, i figured what the heck, $10 is a great price. Then I get there and the clubhouse looks like a private course. The putting green and the driving range were as good as any if not better than most public places. WOW! I then go to the course... while the maintanence was not equal to a well groomed course - it was VERY acceptable. The greens were less than perfect, but they had grass and I could tell that they were working on them to get them in good shape. Only $10 bucks and by the way a GREAT layout... I hit all the shots and will be back.
Good course, but...
This is a good 9-hole course with an assortment of distances to tee from, but the greens were in poor shape with many having bald spots. If the greens were in better shape, this would really be a fun course to play on.
9 holes
The fairways needed cutting and the greens were terrible needs a lot of attention. Greens needed cutting they had po a Anna all over them that wasn't cut.
Great Value
This is a fairly challenging course providing opportunity to improve your game. I have played this course twice and for the price of a bucket of balls at typical driving ranges, you can actually play real golf. I highly recommend this course, as it is a great value.
Warning, practice course only!!
Nice layout, but very poor upkeep. Tee boxes in bad shape, Fairways are rough uncut. No greens, mostly dirt and patches. Good for beginner practice. Need to make tight shots.
Getting Better
I have seen this course get better over the years, although not all the way there, I believe that this course is a season away from being a great nine hole course, the back 5 holes the greens are fast and the front 4 are pretty slow because of the lack of sunlight, if they can get something to try the greens out that would be great. Fairways are ok, still have to work on drainage. I am glad they lowered the prices cause it wasn't worth what they were charging, but I will be back it's a fun and challenging little course.
A good practice course
This is a practice or newbie track , so expect to find slow play. Its a great course for a family with young kids.
The maintenance can be improved, especially the drainage on the fairways. Fairways are soggy and muddy.
The greens can use some rolling.
Overall, for a few bucks, you can start up your season or help a young one love the sport without spending 4-5 hours on a course.
