Great course

Played this course a few times now, lovely place, great layout, mostly flat (it’s a consideration for old knackered people like me) greens very well kept. The staff are very friendly (unlike some places I’ve played) all in all yeah I’d recommend it.

Course too short

Hurtmore was a nice course but it seemed like they’d tried to cram 18 holes into too small a plot of land, tee boxes needed a bit of tlc as well, as they weren’t very level and the grass was non existent in areas, it was more like teeing up in a goalmouth.

Lovely course and great VFM

Just getting back into playing. £19 deal on golf now was excellent and standard weekend afternoon price is excellent too. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Not too long and fairways generally forgiving so encouraging for mid to high handicappers. Busy but pace was fine. Will definitely be back.

Great course great condition

The speed of play was ridiculously slow on the day but this is not always the case. A little more time may be needed to be allowed by the club when they have a slow society there.

Apart from that it is a great course, well maintained, at a good price with a great clubhouse..

Great value for money!

Regularly pick this course as I “pay as I play” and don’t have a membership anywhere so good value for money is always nice.

The condition that Hurtmore stays in all year round is incredible. Only criticism would be some of the tees aren’t level but considering the time of year and the visible ground work they’re doing for the summer this is understandable.

Never had a reason not to like Hurtmore, it’s not as expensive as some of the other courses - so even though you shouldn’t expect as high a standard doesn’t mean it’s not nice - the facilities, course condition and overall golf experience is spot on!

Nice course

Really enjoyed playing Hurtmore. The course was in very good condition considering the amount of rain there had been. Challenging but not overly difficult. When we played the White and Yellow tees were set the same for some reason which made yardage difficult to know on some holes. Good course though and would play again.

Short but good!

First time playing Hurtmore and upon arrival we were informed that our pre-booked 2-ball had been paired up with another 2-ball due to the course being extremely busy with a competition and society. Not ideal but as it turns out the other fellas were really nice and with handicaps of 28 and 10 were not too dissimilar to ours. Surprisingly pace of play was pretty good and we weren’t held up at all. The course itself is short with several similar short par 4’s which are very driveable for longer hitters. That said there are several well placed bunkers and some water to collect any misplaced shots but overall it’s fairly forgiving but still a good test for mid to high handicappers. The greens were in fantastic condition and very quick with some subtle breaks (and some not so subtle). Overall a very enjoyable round. Very friendly staff and a nice clubhouse too. I would definitely play Hurtmore again.

Very good for the price , could be great

Working on the course is understandable at this time of the year but if your putting in a temporary green you need to at least work on making the radius of the flag alot better condition , the rest of the greens were in very good condition for feb and the rough was cut back nicely, the staff are very good , I think they do need to improve a few tee boxes , there is no excuse for not having a level tee box
