Superb!
The most picturesque course we’ve ever played! Hilly but worth it for the views! Greens in top condition too. Highly recommended!
Stunning Location
An absolutely beautiful location with awe-inspiring views at almost every Tee position. A good challenge too. Staff were excellent and helpful. The greens and fairways were being improved and I'm looking forward to returning to see how things progress. Once these have been refined then this course will be 5 stars in every category.
Kendal Gold Club
Not played here for a while and looking to get back into golf so booked a last minute tee time. It was quiet on the course and considering the time of year the fairways and greens were in decent condition and the weather and views were fantastic. Surprised myself by playing to a 10 handicap albeit on winter tees when I last had a handicap of 15 when I stopped plating as a junior there 33 years ago. It's a fairly challenging course set on a hillside and good exercise too and I'd recommend anyone to have a round of golf there. Will definitely be going back for a few more rounds in the not too distant future.
Holiday golf day Ray, Allan and Mick
Easy to book on line. Received confirmation email and on arrival at pro shop our booking was confirmed. Staff brilliant and after 4 days rain course was in amazing condition. Hired elecric trolley £10.00 which I thought was good value and invaluable on this course. Didn't have time to use club house which was open (unlike Winderemere Golf Course on Monday which cost £40.00 and club house closed due to staff shortages!!!!). Will use app again....highly recommended.
Kendal Golf
On arrival Golf Shop pro good and flexible with start time as club house closed for sandwich, once club house open very poor service and quality
on course first 9 holes poor greens and fairway conditions, improved on the back 9
Considering the time of year and the weather has been reasonable all summer the greens were almost unplayable and the fairways had not been cut for some time.
We have played here before and the course was in much better condition all round
Poor course
Very hot weather added to our disappointment that over half the greens were temp. and the ones that were on were in very poor condition
Great views
Great course with the best views
Great course with fantastic views. Staff in shop excellent. A little difficult finding way around greens need a bit of work but we loved it and have already booked to go round again. Totally recommended
Great course with outstanding views down and all around the area! Fairways and tees in very good condition. Greens a little slow in places. Extremely hilly as described by many others so good exercise.
A joy of a golf course
Some steep “climbs” rewarded with splendid views over Kendal and the surrounding hills and countryside
Challenging
Nice course with stunning views. Lots of hidden greens which was difficult as it was our first time here and struggled with shots into the green. One hole we both shot well but had no idea where our balls were so became quite frustrating!
Yes here is a rubbish tip nearby so the air was pungent…..
Very Hilly and well maintained
Hilly, greens in poor condition, public everywhere!
Great views from this course, once you've climbed the mountains to get up there!
Lots of public, not always on the official footpaths. Never had to wait for the game in front, but had to wait several times for dog walkers or joggers who seem to think they have free reign of the course
Greens not great but they were in good condition the time before so hopefully just a weather related blip
Value for money
Played the course today for the first time. Although a bit hilly, there are some good holes to open your shoulders, there were also some blind shots. The day we played was like millionaires golf, no one in front, no one behind. All in all, would definitely play the course again, some tricky holes, some where you need to play the course (not with your head) - knowing the course would be an advantage.
Quality course
Excellent value, great layout but very hilly so need to consider that - will definitely be back. Shame a few larger umbrellas haven’t been put outside as those used do not cover the tables and chairs for a beer after if it is raining so revenue being lost. Lovly course overall
Enjoyable day
Played Kendal on a nice Sunday morning professional very friendly and accommodating the corse was ok considering the climate and conditions of Covid.would recommend the course to anyone with a very good layout of holes a few ups and downs with great views but excellent value for money
