Excellent course and value for money

Course was in excellent condition considering the wet weather over the period. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. For £18 it was one of the best deals we have ever had. We will definitely be returning in the summer months, when I am sure this course will be absolutely stunning.

Blowing a gale, but still enjoyed it.

Considering that most of the courses in York were still effected by the heavy rain that everyone has been subjected to over the last couple of week, the course was in excellent condition, with all greens open and in good condition (for the time of year).
The pro was very helpful and let me go off early as there was no one in front of me. When I caught up with the two groups in front of me ( who were having a Christmas game between them) they immediately let me through, and didn't catch up to anyone else, so was able to get round in less than 3 hours.
The only thing that delayed me was the gale that was blowing (over 70 mph gusts) which made the 11th drive over the gully a bit of a challenge.
After this battle against the course and elements, I had a great roast pork and apple sauce butty, which like other times I've had food there, was very good. Recommend the full English breakfast.
Overall, while it was a challenging day, it was well worth the journey, and at £15, good value for the money.

Brilliant course and great value

Given the recent heavy rainfall and awful weather conditions, the course was in great condition.
Some brilliant holes with lots of interest throughout the 18 holes.
The value was excellent, would expect this to be double/triple the price if located closer to a large city.
Would like to return and play again in summer conditions.

Excellent Golf Course

The course and everything about it was excellent. The only issue was the four balls in front who were incredibly slow which resulted in a four and a half hour round .

Kirkbymoorside

The course was in very good condition considering the amount of rain which had fallen. Its an interesting course. Lots of dog legs and hills and valley's. I'd love to play it in the summer. Its not too long but the wind played a big part, at times it was 40mph on the exposed areas. We all enjoyed it and will return. Friendly staff as well.

Would love to play in Summer

I have wanted to play this course for a while now. The weather was fine although the few days previously had seen heavy rain. The man in the shop was very helpful. Holes 2 and 9 had temporary greens. In general the course was in excellent condition apart from the odd wet patch on the fairway but that’s winter golf. The layout of the course makes you have to plan your way round. I will definitely return in the summer.

Kirkby knock

Really enjoy playing this course, really well looked after, a couple of challenging holes but overall a well spent 4 hours trying to find a white spherical object! Would thoroughly recommend a round with a couple of mates/friends/family or work colleagues.
We'll be back soon.........hopefully weather permitting 👍

Beautiful varied course

First time playing this course and from being welcomed to leaving the bar we had a great experience. Friendly welcoming people, unusual course layout with very good fairways, greens and relatively forgiving rough. Would definitely recommend this course to others.

Good challenge

Played kirkbymoorside twice now and it remains a challenge. Find it far trickier than many courses with much higher slope ratings. Good conditions and excellent pace of play. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
