Great course but needs rethinking

Great course , nice greens , but they really need to move the tees up on the 4th hole, A 600 yard par 5 uphill that realistically plays 700 yards is ridiculous,
It probably scares off the majority of players , let the wannabe pros play of 600 yard tees , move the yellows up another 100 yards and it'll make it a more inviting course

The course was boggy

WWE only played 14 holes some of them where on winter greens told us we could have limited golf and then shut the course on the Sunday so waste of time very disappointing re opened course Monday for members what a joke

Great condition for feb

Played on a Sunday with full course open, summer greens and really dry conditions.
This is a lovely course and open for middle to high handicaps. Highly recommend.

Poor winter course

I had high hopes playing here for the first time and even on the first couple of holes all seemed well . . . then at least 9 winter greens took over, despite not being announced during booking or when checking in in the pro shop. Some of these were way short of the permanent greens (which looked in good nick). This unfortundtely made some of the par 3's into a pitch and putt.

Would still be interesting to see how the course plays in the summer months at full length.

One of the best courses in North Yorkshire

We have played a lot of courses this summer and this is the clear winner. Fabulous condition the greens are superb and offer a challenge to any level of player. Cost wise we have been getting deals at £22 - £27 here, for the quality and standard of the entire course this is superb value for money. If you’ve not tried this course yet you need to get on it, you won’t be disappointed, a five star review for a five star course.

Brilliant course!

First time playing KP golf club recommended by people i know, was impressed how the course layout was, also the fact that members of staff were making sure to keep it in top condition and respected players who were teeing off by switching off the garden machinery until players headed further up to resume play. The club house staff were very friendly and welcoming also. Lovely views over looking Yorkshire. Overall a great experience, won't be shy to visit again very soon hopefully beat my personal best score. 115 not bad for a beginner!

Superb course. At 5800 yards it’s certainly not the longest but is still a challenge, especially the 600 yard 4th. Off course facilities are excellent. We played on a very stormy afternoon but the course still played brilliantly. Would definitely recommend and we will be back very soon.

Plenty of potential.

After arriving we went to the shop to check in. Nothing in the shop for lady golfers and there seemed to be quite a lot of lady golfers on site. No woods allowed on the range. The course was in decent condition however pace of play was slow and the group in front kept apologising but it had backed up well ahead of them. The course has plenty of potential and is in good condition, but it could be so much more.

Awesome course

Played here during a stay in the lodges, my wife and friend booked into the Spa whilst we went for a round… everyone happy!

The course was in fantastic condition for the middle of winter, lovely open course and enjoyed every minute of playing, we are certainly coming back.
