Legacy Ridge Golf Course at Westminster is a links-style course designed by renowned golf course designer Arthur Hills. The municipal course has 18 holes and covers 7,102 yards, playing to a par of 72. The course is reputably well-kept and possesses interesting and challenging holes. The location of the golf course is a protected wetlands area and it also offers picturesque views of Pikes Peak, which is very nearby. We played Legacy Ridge on Day 4 of our annual Colorado Golf Binge. We found the course to be in fine condition and the greens were the fastest we'd experienced all trip.

Hole 9 is a classic. Be sure to keep your downhill approach shot to the left side of the green.

And #18 is a real challenge to avoid the trees and sand.

I saw some bike golf caddies there but didn't get a chance to ask about trying them. Next time!

I have played almost every course in the Denver area, but for some reason I never made it out to Legacy Ridge. I think I figured because it was a muni course that it wouldn't be very good. I was very surprised to find out how much I liked it. It is a great layout, and if you hit it straight you can score pretty good. The course was in great shape except for a few bunkers that were under repair and/or not raked. We played on a Sunday so the traps should have been raked.
