Love Low Lathies - Disgusted on this occasions

4 holes closed for maintenance
No signs to suggest this and no warning from the pro shop

Played 13 holes - some winter greens (again no warning as the website said no restrictions)

Only way we found out holes 14-17 were closed was when we got the 14th thee

Resulting in walking off after 13 holes

Usually enjoy this course but such a poor service and put me off returning now after the lack of integrity shown by the course to visitors

Spoken to members who were aware of the closures through a members email which was even more frustrating

low laithes golf club

a very friendly and welcoming golf club,. the greens were not too bad for time of year some a bit faster than others 18 th very tricky . 10th hole scary as car park on your right so make sure you aim well left! last 3 holes challenging. overall a great day but we were stuck behind fourballs in buggies who must have been guests as well. the pair directly in front of us were members and walked off after 10 holes as it was very slow. other than that that nice day and san miguel in 19th hole!

Great challenge.

Played here for the first time after it had been recommended to me.

Really happy to play it, challenging course that has to be shown respect and a bit of thought used. Greens ran true and were in decent nick.

Only issue is pace of play, with the layout you are teeing off over greens and other tee boxes. A few times there were 3 groups on one tee box. Think it could be a real issue at busy times.

Course abit tattered

Heard from alot of golfers about the greens and course been lovely.
T boxes weren't great. Fairways were okay but most seemed under repair and the greens were terrible. Bobbling all over the shop. Clearly not the standard i was expecting. Course layout was fun but that's about it. Not in a rush to go back.

Walked

I have played Low Laithes a couple of times before, on thursday from arriving at the course I got the feeling that as visitors we were about as welcome as anne frank at hitlers birthday party. I would not recommend this course to anybody.Personally I will never play at Low Laithes again if I was offered free life membership.

Nice course, fairways terrible

Course looked great, also got a good price for the round. Teeing off on the 1st I was excited to get out and play.
Unfortunately as we progress around the course it wasn’t quite what we were expecting. I know it’s early in the year and the weather has an effect but the fairways were in a terrible condition, nothing was flat so if you hit a good shot off the tee you were almost playing a shot above or below your feet with the state of the fairways, along with dealing with the tractor tyre marks everywhere. Even had one tractor mark across a green. Which made it diffficult to put.

Layout was good with some holes you had to think about but I will not be looking at returning.

Good improvements to course however not quite there yet!

The course is better than it was 10 years ago with improvements to greens and tees. Money is being spent on drainage and paths etc which was needed. I would expect the course condition to be better for the time of year however it is and will get there. Some of the bunkers had no sand in them which was disappointing. I will definitely come back later on the year to see how much better it is.
