Great Course
Challenging, long and techical, course was in great condition and we all really enjoyed the experience. Would recommend this to those who like mature parkland courses in a great aetting.
Good course, long and busy
Very good course but was really busy when we played so there was a lot of waiting around. There's a lot of walking between holes
Hidden gem
Great location. Lovely well maintained coarse. Quite difficult for a beginner but I loved every second. Definitely worth coming back for a another round or two.
Good Course BUT....
The course was in good conditions apart from the Tees.... every tee (mens and ladies) were in a disgraceful state. There was hardly a blade of grass on them. Would recommend to a friend with the advisory about the tee conditions
Good course but ....
Yes , good course BUT are the green staff short staffed ? Tees appear dead and bunkers get a grunt of a rake every so often so needs bit work carried out and greens need nipped down a tad for better pace .
But lovely course , recommend a buggy tho as lengthy and lot of walking between tees

Very good course in nice condition. The greens were fantastic and ran true Will play again during the summer as there is some very good greenfee deals just now
Lovely day
Linden Hall is a beautiful, somewhat challenging course, set in fabulous Northumbrian countryside. I was disappointed with the brown tee boxes, and the bunkers could have done with a good raking, but the fairways and greens were in good order.
A lovely course.
In need of TLC
This course is an a great venue for a round of golf. Low handicappers have chances to test their skills but at the same time medium/high handicappers get a good but fair test of their golf. I walked the course with the owners when it was first built and it was immaculate and every hole (maybe with 2 exceptions) has some feature to make it memorable. My only concern is that the course has been a little neglected and needs some TLC. Tee boxes need tidying, greens are OK but could be better, paths need attention and very few bunkers have sand in them (or at least it is so compacted it's like playing off concrete). I am told that the course is being worked on and I certainly will be playing it again this summer.
Only fault would be the distance between some of the holes but I am being picky
Great par 3s
The course was in great condition for the time of year, the par 3s are some of the nicest I have played.
Decent but could be so much better
Sorry to say some of the less positive reviews are justified - the tees, bunkers and greens are not great. The bunkers at 11 and 8 were barely playable and should be GUR without more sand in them. That said, this is one of the best and most fun parkland layouts in the whole North East. All the par 3s are gorgeous (particularly 4) and are great fun. There a plethora of really good holes on the course in general.
Also a buggy is very useful (or at least a powakaddy) as the course is almost 7000 yards tee to green but also at least another 2000 yards from green to tee.
Staff were formal and not massively friendly, though couldn't be faulted.
In short- greens need a bit of TLC and bunkers need a lot more sand. But it is good fun to play. Worth a blast when you can get on for £20 for me.
Long but rewarding course
Some interesting short holes and difficult bunkers. An extremely hot day made the course challenging
Linden Hall
Pro shop and amenities good.
Course layout ok however greens were dreadful. Played there last year and experienced same so head green keeper
needs some tuition
