Perfect parkland course in the heart of Lincolnshire next to the Horse Racing track. Old established and a great advert for Golf. Just love playing there.

With a daunting first hole we were all apprehensive about messing up in front of the club house. But once over the pit we all settled down and played some nice golf. The course was in very good condition with fairway looking as well as they could with the little amount of rain we have had recently. Greens were a dream and very well maintained which is a credit to the green keeping team. Pace of play was excellent and we never felt rushed. All in all a very challenging course but a very enjoyable one to play.

sunday 26 july 3:40pm

heard a lot of good things about this course, only 40 minutes away from home, first time played and left a very good and lasting impression, very helpful and attentive staff, impressive clubhouse and 19th tee facilities. The course was presented very well, super greens and tight fairways - a little reminiscent of woodhall spa but more forgiving. Was a joy to see families playing at least two pairs of under 12's with parents striking the ball impressively. will definitely be back and would highly recommend to other golfers.

Market Rasen

A beautiful looking course. Challenging. Keep straight is the key. Deep bunkers at times. Very well maintained. Would strongly recommend.

Challenging but rewarding course

The course is emerging from the winter period and therefore a mixture of regular and temporary tees (synthetic mats well maintained). The fairways generally in good condition with clearly marked GUR on most fairways. No standing water following recent wet weather and reasonable run on along drier fairways. All surfaces allowed orthodox shot making and zero "plugging". Full greens available through 18 holes and overall evenly paced. Scorecard and course signage very clear and helpful including yardage information on tee boxes and along each and every fairway. Surrounding woodland a feature on most holes with exception of holes 16 - 18 where the course opens out. beside the neat and tidy clubhouse with its excellent pro shop, bar and restaurant. All in all a well appointed golf course with commensurate facilities and a warm welcome to members and visitors alike. Definitely a course worth playing and adding to your golfing CV.

Course with a good future

I play this course once a year when visiting relatives. It is a tight course that has to be managed to achieve a good score. The new tee on the first will look really good when finished and I know they plan to improve the clubhouse and a number of holes in the near future. If you are looking for a testing course with tree lined fairways and a picturesque setting, look no further!
P.S. Course condition, good for the time of year.

Delightful surprise

Booked a last minute round with a late tee off. A great test for beginner and advanced golfers. Really is a thinking course and position off the tee is paramount. And has holes to suit all shapes of golf shots. Superb greens.. Will definitely return.
