Great course with interesting holes.
Great course with interesting holes. First 9 a little bit hilly but second 9 relatively flat. Good condition and staff were nice. Played on my own and everyone in front played at a very good pace and didn’t hold me up at all! Would definitely play again.
Friendly club
From car park to clubhouse to course, members and staff all really helpful. A genuinely pleasent pro in club shop explained the course and what condition it was in.
First nine holes are in magnificent condition, although challenging. Fairways and greens tended perfectly (a joy to look at and play on). Back nine easier holes however sadly affected by last years drought but still playable and again challenging with greens in superb condition.
I Recommend the elevated club house and cake ! Where you can Take in the view of the course.
Overall a lovely golf course.
Good day out. Recommend
Interesting layout with elevated tees on several holes. Front nine in excellent condition, back nine has suffered a bit from dry conditions last year, still a very enjoyable excursion. Will look forward to going back.
Good course
Played on a sunny January day. Pro shop and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Course still bearing some of the scars of the hot summer but greens good and overall very enjoyable round. We'll be back
Great for the time of year
Course was really busy but no hold ups. We arrived early and and were let out when we wanted so good start. Pace of play was good and the course was in great condition for the time of year. Fun day and some fun holes. Overall good day out.
Great course with changing but fun holes
Really nice course, some slow play but friendly. Look forward to playing again.
Friendly members
Thankyou to the threeball who took me under their wing. If they are an indication of the members they are very friendly and accommodating.
Poor course
Unfortunately this course is not in good condition if I had to pay £60 I would ask for my money back not worth the money
Brilliant as always
After all the dry weather, the fairways were running very fast. Credit to the staff as the greens were still perfect. Very reseptive and a good pace.
Highly recommended
Brilliant course, very well maintained. Played on Father’s Day in the afternoon, admittedly it was quiet, but so relaxed. The course was setup well, the greens were running nice and quick, but received the ball very well.
I’d recommend this course to all abilities, fantastic place
Excellent condition
Best fairways I have played on for sometime, nice variety of holes with good par 3s. Plenty of dog legs lovely greens. Will def return
Little Gem
The reception from the pro was excellent , very friendly and helpful. Course was in good condition and a good challenge for all golfers. After our round the restaurant was equally as friendly and cooked breakfast fab. We will definitely be back.
Good course - worth playing
We have been wanting to play this course for a while, so when we saw we could play a round for £17.50 at 3pm on a Friday afternoon we took the opportunity. So glad we did!!
Considering we haven't had any rain for weeks, the course was in very good condition compared to alot of other courses we have played recently. The fairways were firm, but there was enough grass to be able to hit a lofty shot off the surface. The greens were in magnificent condition, holding shots into them rather than bouncing through.
The front nine differs alot compared to the back nine. The front nine offers a greater challenge with a combination of tree lined holes & varying levels of gradient. The back nine is the complete opposite, but the small sized & well protected greens make for a very different challenge.
Overall we were very impressed with the course & I'm sure we will be back in the future for another round.
Lovely course
Played the course on afternoon of 8th June and although there had been a good deal of rain course was in great condition.
Friendly welcome and good facilities too.
Great value and we both enjoyed the challenge of the course. Will certainly play here again.
A Very Enjoyable Challenge
Plenty of variety at Marlborough GC, perhaps more in the front 9 than the back. This is a course that will suit golfers of a wide range. There is trouble for some of the better golfers to find but not so much that higher handicappers would suffer. I'd definitely be very happy to return.
Hi
After a summer of superb greens, the continuous hot weather and with many irrigation breakdowns, our greens unfortunately suffered and fell below our very high standards. They are recovering very well now and I hope you will be able to return to see them at their best. Les - General Manager
