Mattishall Golf Club

Issue we have is that Golf Now on the main screen does not display this course as 9-hole. They do on others, presumably when people complain. Hence this review. After 9 holes we were pounced on to pay for another pay
So the HOT deal advertised was not hot at all.
Poor from GolfNow.

We played just nine holes, the weather was hot and dry.
The course was in very good condition and the greens, whilst not particularly fast, were in excellent condition. A tribute to the greenstaff.
The course has nine greens and 18 tees. Which on the day ewe played was fine as there was only a couple of other groups on the course. However at busy tine( if there are any here) then double tees could get a little congested..
All in all a good experience and would I visit again, YES.
Nice club house and also an academy on site with teaching bays

We was held up by a group infront but was a nice course and really enjoyable

First time at Mattishall and was pleasantly surprised. Not the longest of courses but the longest par 5 in the uk was tough and the course is no gimme. Tree lined fairways and the greens are in great condition.

Friendly and helpful staff as always, pace of play was great, we got lucky as groups in front of us finished after our first nine. Great to have the course opened on a Saturday after the previous 2 were closed., lots of mud balls, but not a great issue.
My only concern was that £22 for a hot deal on a nine hole course feels very expensive compared to £10-£16 on several 18 hole courses in the area

Turned up before tee time to use range and was informed there was a ladies comp on in front no problem wish informed earlier started round 20 mins behind ladies group court the group up on second hole waited for a little while finished hole and waited again hit tee shots around which went around dog leg and finish close to ladies group which I apologise for thought they where on the green after this the play got dramatically slower carried out first nine and first three hole of second nine then we where waiting for so long other groups where waiting as well so we gave up and went home very disappointed

I played today 10/10/23. Arrived early and was allowed straight on course. Easy to navigate from hole to hole. Greens very good. Good course for all standards of golfer. Well drained lots of run on the ball. Clearly defined fairway and rough. Loved it would gladly play again. Large stock in Pro shop for all golfers.....bought a pair of shoes.

Would recommend anyone to play here beginner or regular player, very friendly staff and fellow golfers at that

Course was in decent condition however pace of play was extremely poor - 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and there was 3-4 groups on every hole. Sucked it up an played 3 holes in 1hr 30 before deciding to call it a day

I had a hot deal on Saturday 26th about 1:15, I played with a member, very friendly staff, fast pace of play and managed to play 18 holes 🕳️ in 3 hours, great value for money,.

First time playing here and as a relative newcomer I enjoyed the challenge
