Morley Hayes Hotel & Golf - Manor Course

Excellent value for money lovely course and very forgiving for beginners

One of my more local courses, We didn't want to travel that Sunday, First 8 Holes where played in the dry, Even though in parts it was wet under foot. The the rain slowly came and set it for the afternoon. We continued to play to finish the course but it did effect our enjoyment. But it is winter and you will get days like this. Will play again once we have a dryer few weeks.

Played yesterday on a hot deal. Some parts of the course were ok, but very wet in places. Grass very long and sometimes hard to find your ball. The cost of the round was very cheap, but the enjoyment was curtailed by the wet conditions. Will go back when the course dries out.

THIS COURSE IS VERY WET.THE FIRST CUT NEARLY 6" DEEP. BALL PLUGGING DEEP. YOU CAN SPOT YOUR BALL, WALK STRAIGHT TO IT, AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT. PLAYED IN 4 BALL ,ALL 4 GOLFERS ARE MID RANGE HANDICAPPERS.IN TOTAL WE LOST 25 BALLS BETWEEN US.THIS IS A LOVELY COURSE BUT THE CONDITIONS MADE OUR GAME UNPLEASANT. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. WILL GO AGAIN WHEN IT DRIES OUT.

Got this on reduced green fees.
Fairways and greens in great condition with ditches and ponds aplenty.
Forgiving off most tees. A good course to try out the dusty driver. Most par 4s were long, and the par 3s lacked interest.
To me it had the standard corporate hotel course feel to it but it does have a few picturesque approaches to some holes.
The greenkeepers were very friendly, esp. the one we almost hit ! He found our ball and one extra.
Overall a pleasant enough round, but the course did not "excite" me.
Would probably return nonetheless on the discount

Friendly warm welcome from all staff, weather not the best wet and windy, however the course was in excellent condition and payed very well despite the weather conditions of the day, course, driving range, and facilities generally all good and add to the experience - will return in the future

Good course and nice round. Big golf society out early that slowed play and frustrated those behind but all good apart from that

Picked a day more like midwinter than spring, but the manor course was in excellent condition well looked after fairways very nice greens a bit trickier than usual friendly welcome in the pro shop on with the round. Now no matter how well or how bad I heck the ball over 18 holes I look forward to some refreshments in clubhouse bar but this was not to be on this occasion I had a pint of pedigree and it was awful my partner's had larger and they were not impressed. Come on Morley Hayes get the pumps cleaned.

Not played this course for about 2 years but various improvements have been made. Generally it is a ‘forgiving’ course with wide expanses for the wayward shot, though enough ditches, water, bunkers & copses to keep you ‘honest’. Good fairway/ first cut definition. Fairways appear to have recovered well from last summer’s drought but unfortunately the greens had just been tyned & sanded so were very unpredictable to putt on. Off-course facilities v good.

Great wether this week and today has dried up the course. Fairways were good and the rough at Morley is challenging. Greens were solid and starting to crust up due to dry conditions. Could do with a cut and roll. On the whole the course played well. It is an open course so only defence is long rough and a few ditches and water hazards. Well worth a visit. Recommend.

This course gets better every time I play it. It’s very well kept with greens and t boxes in great condition for the time of year.

For February the course was unbelievable good condition only two greens were a little bumpy but the rest were like carpet s. Wonderful day and the weather was great also

Great variety of holes, no two the same, water features on several holes, par 3's all straight but club selection esential. Friendly attitude from all staff, driving range away from the course only down fall. Overall excellent course to play recommend to all.

First time playing here and was impressed, the fairways and greens were in great condition despite the sheer amount of rain we’ve had lately. A bit boggy in rough areas but was expected. Long open fairways with a few tricky holes. Can’t wait to play this course again in the summer months and hopefully I’ll play a bit better to!!

Played Morley Hayes for the first after heavy rainfall the day before. Course was in great condition and played very well. Layout is testing at times with a good mix of water hazards and holes to test all abilities. Will look forward to returning soon.

Only the second time I have played here in 3 years and it has improved in that time. We played as a four ball off the yellow tees which was still a good test off golf. For early December the fairways were in good condition without many wet patches following heavy overnight rain.. The greens had been hollowtiegned but were receptive and still fair if a little on the slow side. The course was busy but we still made steady progress letting thro a couple of two balls. Some very good long par 4s and testing par 5s.The greens staff were busy all around the course but did not impede on our game. We took 4 hours 20 mins to complete our round. Very good 19th hole. Excellent value thro Tee Off Times.
