Great course
Close to my house and a great wee course Challenging in places live it as did may mates.
Be back again.
top dollar but in a prime area
£25/28 max green fees course, but as the title says- this is a premium area, I played Conwy, Wrexham and other championship courses for similar or less dollar.
Pure greens, nice fairways, well defined, good sand pits.
Kept in very good condition, greens always roll good although you get the feel they should be faster. Most greens are reasonably flat, but with slight subtle moves.
Normally quiet "out of hours", with a couple of weak holes (1,9 and possibly 18, i don't like hitting short irons off the tee on par 4,s) it is excellent value for the highly overpriced area (near Southport).
Easy walking (although a good stretch for the legs) for fossils like myself, I think shorter hitters would find some of the holes difficult, I have yet to hit any par 5 in 2 strokes (defying my age I can still smack it!).
All in all, it's 9/10, I love it- but currently overpriced by a few quid.
Good Course
Course was in great condition and a brilliant challenging course but value wise with the likes of Berrington and Houghwood not too far away for much cheaper it’s a bit pricey, we really enjoyed the course and test though.
Top draw
First time we have played here, the course and greens are immaculate, the course layout is good and nicely designed too. Theres nothing bad at all to say about the golf course or club it is great
Hidden Gem
Hidden gem of a course. Played on a Wednesday afternoon as a single and made it round in under 2h 30min.
Good variety of shapes of holes requiring you to move ball both ways.
The little par3 11th is breathtaking and worth the green fee alone.
Mossock return.
Played mossock when it first opened, held my father’s memorial competition there for 3 years, enjoy playing there and it’s good to see how it’s maturing into a great little knock.
Fantastic
First time playing this course and won’t be the last. Staff were great. Ground conditions great. All round good day
Great Day at Mossock
First time we’ve played the course and it was really enjoyable. Course was in excellent condition from tee to green and the pro shop and clubhouse facilities were excellent ( we were a little disappointed that there was no food available after 5pm but that’s a minor gripe). The course layout appears a little cramped on the tee on some holes but this feeling disappears after your first shot as the holes open out or a dogleg reveals a part of the course not visible from the tee. A great day out at a great course and one we will be returning to soon
Very good course
I've played quite a few courses now around the merseyside area, and this is by far the best one i've played so far. The course is in all round great condition, however the greens were particularly good.
Beautiful course
Superb course, challenging and fun. Excellent fairways and greens. Flat course with only a couples of small hills. Looking forward to playing again.
