Poorly kept, over-prived and overall a pretty boring course
It was not a very enjoyable course to play - whether that was because we'd had a good drink the night before or because it was slightly windy, but probably because it just isn't a very good course . There were some challenging holes but the full course needs some maintenance - greens and fairways aren't very good at all. We found it a very monotenous course and wouldn't return. Very expensive for what it is.
Alway find the shop pro does like golf now customers
Great introduction to links golf
I had walked past this course lots of times and always wanted to play. Finally got to experience it on Tuesday and was not disappointed. Course was in great condition and was a great introduction to links golf, despite the savage wind. Only bit if advice would be to watch out for the 11th and 18th greens and not get mixed up like I did!
Great course
The course was in great condition, the greens are perfect and hold shots in perfectly.
Definitely will play this course again.
Cant wait to play again
Really nice course with real variety.
No hole feels the same and the views are stunning overlooking Fistral beach
Newquay GC
Fairways and tee boxes on the lower beach side of the course desperate for some rain. Greens superb given the dry weather, links golf at its best !
Great links by the sea
Played a few times now and is always enjoyable, great links course and not too difficult, I more or less played to my hcap of 18/19. Good layout, pace of play and condition, good variety of holes, friendly members and Chris the pro. Would recommend. Ps remember to enter your reg in the machine in the pro shop as they have ANPR in the car park and you will get a ticket!
Heaven
This is an amazing course. Stunning views, great condition and a real test of golf.
Great club atmosphere, welcoming for visitors.
Real value for money on a hot deal. Played twice during a two week holiday. The first game, sharing a tee time, with other GN customers. Great company in reasonable weather. The second game, playing solo and it was blowing a "Hooley". A real challenge from start to finish. Coming from Manchester, I loved playing off firm, intact fairways, to excellent greens. Back home competitions are being canceleft right and centre due to wet conditions. Great food and friendly clubhouse make for a very enjoyable experience, and the views are a joy.
You can’t go wrong here…
Winter links as it should be…proper strong blowing wind off the Atlantic providing the course with its extra defence.
Heavy rain most days for weeks but you’d never know and not a puddle or mud in sight.
Greens immaculate especially for time of year, some ongoing winter works but nothing that would ever disturb your round or enjoyment.
Always leave with a smile on our faces!!
Holiday golf
I must for any golfer, a challenging links course.
