Awful service
Arranged half a day iff work. Arrived at 820am. Golf pro shop closed, sign outside saying onto clubhouse. Only the cleaner there!
Needed new balls and trolley.
Apparently they dont arrive til 9am, even though they allow you to tee off from 8am.
Awful service
Could be great but feels tired
Played this course in mid winter and whilst I can see how this would be a great course once upon a time it feels quite tired now. We had to play off tee matts and the fairways were still showing the signs of a tough summer. The lad in the pro shop was really friendly but didn’t really talk us through the course, the second tee was really confusing and could have been told at the beginning where to play from as we waisted 20 minutes trying to work out where we should have been playing.
I would say that the greens were in fantastic condition.
The course had fantastic coverage on the greens after the hot summer
The green were lovely the fairways were bare in area as you would expect after the hot period this summer but over all well worth the money
Nice course, let down by GUR
I’ve played here half a dozen times and despite requiring only 69 to get round on Par, it’s always been an interesting course with some attractive scenery, interesting and challenging holes.
It was quite busy with some slow play, but then again it was a beautiful autumn day, the first after a couple of grim days.
The fairways have had a lot of sun over the summer and recent rain has left them bare with patches of mud. All of the bunkers on the course are low on sand and the majority marked as GUR.
All in all, an enjoyable experience and good value at £18:50.
Friendly nice course
Unfortunately most of the bunkers had bees nesting so you couldn't really play from them. 1st and end hole are quite linked as 2nd sits right over the green. But other than those two things it's a challenging course esp the hedge hole! Club house and people who play there all were friendly and we will be back.
Met a hero
Played North Middlesex today with two Mates, Lovely Course, Not too long but quite tight with true Greens.
A great round was made better by meeting Andrew Johnson AKA Beeeeef, when we came if the eighteenth.
He was happy to chat and pose for photos even though he was relaxing with his family
What a legend and a true Gent.
This day will be remembered..
Excellent traditional golf course
Traditional golf course fast greens and clever layout well worth a visit
18th hole is fabulous
first few holes a bit jammed up so delayed a bit but better after 5th
Very hilly and waterlogged course
We booked to play and arrived with our electric trolleys, but was not permitted to use them due to the course being waterlogged. A hired pull trolley was however fine to use!
As we progressed it was obvious the course is very hilly and the excess grounf water everywhere just made the course extra hard and took away the fun.
To be fair this course is probably fun in dry sunny conditions and quite challenging with its small greens.
All said, I'd recommend the use of electric trolley or a golf buggy to both save your legs and also to maintain pace of play.
Enjoyable Round
Great course but can get a bit slow at times. As someone is not a member of one particular club but playa often its our preferred choice in the north London area. Twilight fee during summer is a steal!
First timer
First time playing this course and very impressed. Very nice layout and interesting holes. Course in very good condition despite torrential rain. Would definitely come back here.
