North Shore GC Skegness Review

When other courses were very wet this course was dry and in good condition, greens were good around 9 on the stint.
Some really interesting holes with nice views of the sea. Pro shop staff (Pete) was very helpful and polite.
Hotel staff were very helpful as well, good food at reasonable prices.
Well worth a visit, we will return.

a good test of your game

the course is a mixture of park land and and links holes with some very tight hole by the sea it is relatively short but has a few interesting holes on the back nine with blind second shots into the greens and two par 3s where accuracy is key.
It was incredibly well maintained with excellent greens.the members of staff i had contact with were very helpfull and overall i can not think of any real negatives playing this course.

A joy

Oh joy of joys 2 days away playing North shore in the summer, cloudless sky, light winds, quiet course, it can’t get better than this surely.
We’ve been lucky to play a few nice courses, some have more history, some a sterner test, some more spectacular, but to keep you coming back year on year a course needs that X factor that this course has in spades.
Yes it’s quirky in places, yes there’s a few crossover issues and it sure can get busy on holiday mornings, but as a hood test of semi links golf in the summer, there’s a is a fine layout.
I guarantee you’ll use all your 14 clubs too, quite rare these days
Add to all this some friendly, helpful club staff who have a very nice laid back style and it’s a hard to fault experience
Thanks guys
The hotel is another story however but this is a golf course review and at from £25 on GolfNow, it’s a complete bargain
5 stars, if you’ve never played golf here your not doing it right!!

Slow round

Sad to leave this review because I love the golf course.
1 1/4hr to complete 3 holes. Ended up cutting in and out of the few gaps just to play a few hols. Played 12 in the end very disappointing. No Marshals on course to keep things moving. Unlikely to book again without checking how busy things are.

A little disjointed.

The set up of the course is very weird, you have to be careful of balls flying from other tees as it is very tight which is good but the walks from some tees to others are long, also some greens next to each other it’s difficult to tell which one you’re playing!
The play itself was extremely slow, lots of foursomes who must have been pros because they didn’t care about the people behind and were taking forever. Would probably like to go when it’s quieter. Some very good holes, drivable par fours and some blind holes, nice putting surfaces and a few very challenging.

Value for money

A combination of parkland and links. Green fees are reasonable for visitors. Unfortunately pace of play was very slow with groups of visitors not knowing etiquette to allow other golfers through.
Staff are extremely friendly and the facilities are good.
I would recommend this course to friends and family
