Stunning views
Lovely views from the club house putting green area course is very good , Well worth a visit
A fantastic course
I played here after work for a quick 18, moments after a fairly heavy downpour and what has been a very wet fortnight. The greens were understandably wet and slow, but looked in great condition and were superbly flat.
The fairways are generous, but the trees surrounding many holes keep you fairly honest. the rough is kept low around the trees and other hazards which is great! you dont lose a ball and 9/10 you have to take your medicine and chip back into play... how golf should be in my eyes.
The course is undulating without being hilly, there is a view, despite the fact you are surrounded by housing (you'd never know, the Dutchy is reet posh). a very pleasant round of golf, new on my list of favourites in the Leeds area.
Wildlife consists of pheasants, unidentified big bird (like a heron, not a seagull, looked nice anyway) and domestic cats (quite a few actually).
will be playing again soon if the prices remain reasonable.
An amazing course
An amazing course with so much character, greens were a little bit untrue but all In all can’t complain and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a challenging round.
Shame
We paid £42.50, 8:30am tee off.
No staff there, pro shop closed, no score cards available.
The course was in fantastic condition to say it has being raining the last few week, some brilliant holes, greens in top condition for late October.
There was one temp green on the front 9, no mention of this on the website or golf now. The really annoying part of the day was 12,13,14 holes were closed. Also no mention of this. It clearly says 18 holes available.
No staff there at 11:30am when we finish either.
We certainly wouldn’t of played here knowing that, very expensive for 15 holes and a poor temp green.
Massively Ovepriced/ poor condition
Course was incredibly wet, greens and tee boxes were in poor condition. No electric trollies available. Not sure why this course gets such good reviews. Massively overpriced, will definitely not be returning much better courses available in Yorkshire.
would play again, greens played fast, course well maintained, great tee positions on numerous holes, bar and seating area outside overlooking 18th green was perfectly positioned.
Course
Mostly in good condition, greens were excellent.just a little hilly
Would play againg
An enjoyable test
A well laid out golf course.front 9 ease you into your round. Undulating/sloping fairways to make you really think about course management. Greens are electric/wicked pin positions.
Back 9 I found much tougher.though that could have been last night shenanigans kicking in.overall a great golf course.will be back soon
Good test of golf
Course layout was very good greens in great condition course well maintained something for the members to be proud of interesting first hole which eases you into the round I am particularly fond of holes 5 8 9 10
And 17 18 is a strong finish
9 18 cleverly finish back at the club and use the water feature very well
Only down side pro shop was un manned but a lady member assisted in getting me a scorecard
Course a little hilly in place which some may fine a test
But to some up an interesting course in excellent condition at a very reasonable price will visit again with friends
Very high winds
Played today with wind speeds up to 50mph, making it even more challenging. Still enjoyed the course with the 9 th being the best hole
A must try
Fortunately I managed to play on a dry warm day so I can't comment on conditions in the wet. However I would say this has to be one of the best condition courses I've ever played. The greens were in absolutely outstanding condition. Everyone enjoyed the course, challenging enough for the good golfer but not going to destroy the higher handicapper. I loved it. We had to rush off so didn't get to try the clubhouse facilities but it looked good. This is a must try course if you're in the area.
