Oakland park golf course
Nice interesting course. Not the longest but a good variety of holes. All tee boxes and greens in good condition. Worth a visit
Lovely course
I really enjoyed the course, it was in great condition for the time of year, lots of par 3’s which made it shorter than I am use to but will definitely return. Got round in under 3 hours even although we had to wait a few times for the 2 ball in front... Great value
Nice little course
Slow play due to volume of golfer's on course. Nice way to ease back into golf routine post lockdown
New Year’s Golf
Lovely course, really enjoyed it, challenging and flowed nicely.
Golf ruined by worm casts on all greens.
Puts do not roll on this course due to every green being awash with worm casts. Especially disappointing given maintenance week was only a fortnight ago!
Great Course and Great a Value for Money
Not a long course by any standards but it’s so well laid out and offers a really interesting mix of holes. You’ll use every club in the bag. Special praise must go to the green keeping team for maintaining the course so well during this biblical rainy period. Amazing job. The greens are a little slow and inconsistent but that’s entirely to be expected given recent conditions. This is a lovely course and I’ve always enjoyed playing it.
Not bad at all
First time going round here. Course was in cracking condition and the pace of play was a little slow on the front nine but not too slow. Few too many par 3's for my liking and there was a few times you had to cross fairways to get to the next tee but, as the title says, not too bad at all.
Excellent condition
Course well maintained and in great condition given rainfall.
Short as 7 par 3s but still a challenge. Greens were in good condition and probably fast in the Summer.
Definitely worth a round.
December
Funnily enough there was quite a lot of mud, as you’d expect in December. That being said, the course was in great condition and the greens were very good as well. Incredibly friendly staff as well
Very wet and short
I played the course in December and so perhaps unsurprisingly it was incredibly wet. Virtually waterlogged. However, I did enjoy the game partly because of its short length it allowed you to shoot a low score.
I’m sure it would be a better experience in the summer months.
Course in poor condition
After a second lockdown I was expecting the course to be in fantastic condition.
This was not the case, there were temporary tees on every hole which we were not informed about at any point during booking or on arrival.
The fairway grass was as long as the rough on most holes, making it hard to even identify if you had even hit one. Lastly the bunkers were short of sand and stoney.
I’ve played this course many times, and this is the worst it’s ever been.
Happy to be playing golf again but it will not be here again until it’s has some real TLC
Very Nice Course
The course is not long, but still challenging in the aspect that you have to think about the placement of tee shots. It is in very good condition, fairways are quite tight and a few doglegs, 6 par 3's. but all decent and offer different challenges with some water features. To play a member's course on a Sunday is not always easy in terms of tee times, so at £30 for a weekend day I think is reasonable.
Fun and challenging
Lovely course. 7 par 3s which makes it different from most courses but very challenging on most. Severe doglegs on some of the holes. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Great value for money.
Unique Golfing Experience
I was very surprised and pleased with our golfing experience here. Great course to go and sharpen up your game. Shortish course on a small piece of land but very well laid out. Very good fairways and greens. Obviously off course experience difficult to rate due to Covid. Would very much recommend if you want to relax and enjoy a round of golf for mid to higher handicappers ie. the majority of golfers
