Twilight value
July 2021 and all courses in the uk really should be looking great at the moment and this place is no exception. For the money, 23 quid for a 4.20pm round, it was good value. Reasonable fairways and pretty solid greens. Not the trickiest course but still a challenge for most. We're held up a little but not too bad. Would recommend.
Best course for the money within 60 miles
Played here many times and it’s hands-down the best course for the money by a long way. No water is the only criticism I have. Genuinely lovely course that you willl definitely enjoy
Good beginner course
For beginners this course is ideal. Slow play from 3/4 balls so easy for a novice to keep up with slow play. Driving range decent. Odd the chipping area is after the first hole and not signposted. Good outdoor area for a pint after. Golf buggies 25 quid with sat nav and fancy screen for the hole. Super tech but would have preferred no tech and 15 quid buggie. Overall for 25 quid a round and with pro shop and cafe this is a great starter course for people. Not for the expert pros given average ability of play today seemed low
Jason Marsh
Did a one ball on a sunny late afternoon. Pace of play was good - about 4 hours for 18 holes, few minor waits but the sun was shining and great views of London so wasn’t an issue. Was a bonus to find out on the day I wasn’t going to be paired up with other players as is the policy at some places
for single players.
Whole course and greens were in good condition, very different to some of the other recent reviews - sure the rain in May has helped bring everything back to health.
I like the club, it seems welcoming and not pretentious to a beginner like me.
Greens
The course was in very good condition and the greens vastly improved.
Poor Condition, cheaper than most during Covid
Played as a two ball and got stuck behind a 4 which is just standard atm all over. Greens were in poor condition as were tee beds which is surprising after a long time of having no one on. £30 is a lot for what it is but is cheaper than others in the area of a similar quality.
Good value for money
It was off peak and I got a deal price so pace was fine and no grounds to complain. Course and facilities were presented nicely. Staff were polite. Greens not bad despite the efforts of the crows. Good option for evening practice.
Nice course at a good price
Myself and a friend played this course earlier today for the third time and really enjoyed ourselves. The course was in good condition - the tees and fairways were well kept and the greens were nice. The only disappointment I would say is that there was a lot of litter lying about on the course - I didn’t see a single rubbish bin which meant there were lots of bottles and cans lying about, especially next to the tee boxes!
Great little course
Great course especially for the price around the south of London. I’m a beginner and find this quite easy to play so probably not the most challenging place but great if you’re starting out or don’t want to go and play somewhere too tough but the staff are great and everyone I’ve met there is lovely.
Pace wasn’t an issue considering I was a one ball, the two groups in front of me let me through as soon as they possibly could.
Great value for money
Great value for money, a good course for beginners. The greens are not the best but for what you pay you cannot complain.
Oak park
The course was in good order considering the rain fall over the last couple of days.
Somewhat spoiled by the extremely slow play of other who showed no inclination to allows faster players through.
The Oaks
The course it self has a nice easy lay out that suits golfers that are starting out.
The greens were awful.
if we were given notice we might have chosen a different course.
