Course condition great
Great course condition . Greens in excerlent con . Enjoyed layout of course. Most enjoyable round. With polite green keepers.
Doesn't feel like a Harry Colt Designed Course
Perfectly acceptable track greens in very good condition. Some fairways require a bit of attention Overall enjoyable round but £72 for a two ball felt expensive so go early or late and pay less as at that price would have expected something a bit better in these days of cheap golf
oxford golf course
Easy to book.
Pro shop ready for us and helpful.
course very good, couple of holes testing but generally if you stay straight you are ok.
could do with a few more distance markers on a few holes?
Top notch
Lovely course, brilliant greens, some tricky holes which make it interesting, would highly recommend
no rough and that's good because plenty of trees to block out bad shots, not to long. great course.
Considering the dry spell this was in excellent condition.
Simply excellent condition and value for the money.
Fast smooth greens
Good pace of play
Club house still open when we finished.
Currently our no.1 choice in Oxon &Bucks.
Great little Gem
We played early on their gala day and the course was in excellent condition. The staff in the pro shop where really helpful and welcoming. Members were friendly, welcoming and happy to chat to you. The course was tight and well laid out but what else would you expect from a Harry colt design. It had some very pretty par-3 is and some excellent par-4. The par-5 is where all reachable into but the greens were well protected. The 12th was one of the best par-3 is I have ever played. The 18th was a spectacular finishing hole.
good testing course
very enjoyable round
some holes definitely designed only for the low handicappers which is what reduced my scores
Pleasantly surprised
Nic course.... almost in the middle of town... amazing! Very enjoyable round with a good variety of holes....
An all round beauty of a course
Smack bang in the middle of Oxford, just off the Cowley road, is this gem of a golf course.
I gave it 4/5 for Off-Course Amenities for having what looked like a refreshment hut at the end of the 9th (on-course I know, but that option is not available) but it was closed so we had to walk to the clubhouse to get drinks to rehydrate on a sweltering hot day (we had already gone through our supply it was so hot).
Nice course
Very nice course but with quite a lot of difficult downhill lies.
Great course that will test you!
Course in immaculate condition, especially the greens. £15 to play an absolute bargain!
Beautiful unexpected course
Unbelievable that this gem is tucked away in the centre of Oxford.
Beautiful course, greens fantastic (always the mark of a good course), and made to feel very welcome despite being visitors!
Very balanced course layout.
I arrived half an hour early and due to an important Oxford football fixture, the course was pretty empty.
Having been designed in 1922, the trees have matured and encourage some forethought on fairway placements from tee to green, so relatively challenging first time round.
A well rounded course which considering it is the end of January, played very well.
The club house is adequate, however I have played inferior courses around the UK with much plusher facilities, maybe a wealthy benefactor would be welcome.
Great value let down by poor pace of play and stuffy old members
Course was in good condition given the time of year and great value for money. Only let down was the slow play and stuffy attitude of a few 'older' members.
Great Course in great condition
Great Course layout with some excellent holes. Course was in great condition and greens were lovely and quick. Always enjoy playing Oxford GC
