Excellent golf course with very welcoming staff and members

Despite the very wet weather, the course was in excellent condition and provided a fair test to our party. The course layout and variety of holes is superb, with some very picturesque surroundings and features.

The club facilities where immaculate and every member of staff and club member were very friendly and welcoming. We will be looking to play here again this year and are excited to play the course during the summer months.

Good Course in Good Autumnal Condition

The golf course was in good condition, particularly for mid October with the greens being excellent.

Reception at the pro's shop was very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was excellent and the course was a good, varied challenge.

Agret day at Pannal

I have always thought this was the best course in Harrogate and last week's round confirmed it. The course preparation was excellent and the greens were superb. also the views are superb and seeing the beautiful red kites flying around was an extra bonus
First 6 holes are particularly tricky and the signature 17th is a gem of a par 3 - long, over a large grassy dip with massive fall away to the right and tight to OB on the right by the road. Green is angled away left to right.
A cracking course, very fancy pro shop with video studio and pleasant staff in the clubhouse

Nice Layout, but poor condition!

Nice layout to be found here, with good variety of holes..

Back nine plays a little tougher than front.. Two of the last three holes were standouts! Par threes are all worthy of note..

Sadly we played during one of the courses maintenance weeks (end of July)

Unlike the clubs own online booking system, the Golf Now booking system did not highlight this, so better to call ahead to check your planned visit doesn't clash with this..

The condition of the course was not what we hoped, the greens in particular were all cored and in some cases completely covered in sand..

All that said, a fantastic gesture was made by the managing secretary in extending courtesy of the course for a future date, to play when course conditions return to normal.

A brilliant gesture, and we left looking forward to our return!
