Good greens
Good course good greens , double booked on a Saturday had 3 4 balls on the same hole throughout the whole round , took 5and half hours , apart from slow play was pukka for the money
Winter wet review
Played end of January on my own with 11ish tea time. No one in front so pace of play was good. Alot of work to course going on so good to see. Fairways still wet and muddy in places but some were decent firm. Greens played nice even though some were very wet. Winter tees were good and able to get a good tee in.
Tough course in places and wayward shots punished.
Pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. Had a pint after in small bar area. Did not eat in clubhouse but smelt lovely.
Enjoyable round all in all
Overall the course is in good nick
Overall the course is in good nick and a good layout. The only problem is some of the bunkers are hard and the tee boxes are uneven.
Disappointed
Having played the course many times before, I always thought the course was good value for money and in good condition with pretty consistent greens. However today apart from a 20 minute wait on the first tee passed our booked tee time and the slow play took 4.5 hours. Most of the greens were in poor condition and and inconsistant. The course seems to be going back to the way it was several years ago.
Hidden gem
A very nice course all be it an emerging "setup". Probably best kept as it is, nice course local to me , easy to book at sensible green fees.
Fair challenge
Not a bad course. Good value for money at £23 for a Sunday midday round. Course is in relatively good condition although the greens were like a hairy nut sack. Would return again once trimmed. Bunkers were also undergoing work. Once these two things are fixed it will be a good teat
Value for money Guaranteed
First time playing here and i would come back. Not a bad layout, different to the norm. The Par 4 are mostly short and the course gets its length from the Par 5s. The Par 3s offer a good mix. Course was playing OK (it's February - you can't expect too much). For the green fee paid this was really good value for money.
The pro was really helpful before i played too.
Good day of golf
We arrived to find out our booking was not picked up by the staff; however, the man was very helpful and after showing him my receipt through Tee Off Times he told us to tee off whenever we were ready. We later found out the email had somehow gone through to their junk folder. Was pretty busy but we still got round in a good time for a 4 ball. Course is very open and so forgiving, there are some tricky holes with carefully placed fairway bunkers and dogleg holes which make for an interesting round. Greens were in good condition for this time of year. Good value for money (£16 each through Tee Off Times, 10am tee time). Clubhouse is letting it down, would rather stop at a pub on the way home.
Always good value
One of the better courses at the lower end (price-wise), a good challenge from the tips, with some good variety between holes.
Visible signs that work is under way at present, but it hardly effects how the course is played.
Is often quite busy, which can lead to VERY slow rounds, but we went out at 10:40 on a Saturday and never saw a soul!
course improving all the time worth a visit
Birdie 2nd played well with good course management.

Best value for money
Great course. Well worth the booking fee. Challenging holes.
