Lovely
Really enjoy this coarse, good food and stunning scenery, great greens a real beauty. My only negative is bloody walkers and there dogs, a real concern on their safety as they clearly dont understand how dangerous a 120mph golf ball can be.however it's not an issue and doesn't detract from the experience.
Nice but not great
The pros - club house very friendly and comfortable , pro shop food , driving range good and the course had fine views , was challenging and in general a nice place to play - by no means the best or worst - 7/10
Downsides - dog walkers , roads and vehicles on few holes were distracting . Tee boxes were replaced by mats when we played in March which isn’t great , course was quite boggy in places
Lovely location
I enjoyed this forest course. The last few holes are great.
The only negatives would be the green condition and dog walkers but more than made up for by the great location.
Very good indeed
We played in mid November and the course was still in terrific condition!
No bunkers on the course but a good challenge and plenty of variety to the holes.
Will be back to play here again soon
A Must Visit
An ever improving golf course every time I visit, which is in superb condition, with very well maintained greens and fairways. The course definitely lived up to its ranking as being the best course under 6,000 yards in England!
The pro shop, office and clubhouse staff delivered exceptional customer service which only added to the already outstanding golf day. All were very friendly really making you feel comfortable and welcomed within the clubhouse. Food was of a very high quality, with a diverse range of choices available on the bar menu at affordable prices.
A flawless experience, with only one question left: how soon can I play again?
Boring and short
Course was is pretty good condition considering the rain. Green fairways and tee boxs well kept but course is quite short and featureless suggest course more for higher handicappers will definitely go back to play the old course next time
Watch out for dog mess!!
Just had an extremely enjoyable game at this very nice course. The young guy in the pro shop couldn't have been more helpful. Wouldn't normally have a moan, but found the amount of dog fouling particularly on the first three fairways to be really disgusting. I appreciate this is not the Club's fault, but maybe someone needs to clamp down on these ignorant people who let their animals do this on the course without clearing it up. Apart from this, fantastic course, great greens and somewhere I would certainly book again
