Good course, not welcoming locals

Nice course , lovely greens and at £20 really good value , unfortunately the local older members were a little rude and not very welcoming to new players and made you feel like you didn’t belong. I’m sure they meant well but they were new golfers once !

Nice place

The second time around the 9 holes was a lot easier. Nice gaff, would play again.

Great course for all abilities

Good length holes - you can pull out driver on every hole except the two par 3s. Also quite forgiving so you won't be losing golf balls all the time which is one of my pet hates. A nice layout and greens and tees particularly were in excellent condition, this is just like a proper full size 18 hole golf course of good quality, only with half the holes.

Little gem

My first visit here and definitely will be returning, don’t be fooled by it being a 9 hole course this little gem is picturesque, although the course was quite wet in places which is expected at this time of year it still offered some great play and I’m looking forward to visiting in the spring I can imagine the fairways to be a lush carpet of green and the greens themselves being perfect, don’t pass up on a visit here.

Soft and spongy

Friendly staff on arrival. Went to warm up on practice green, but there were no flags, just holes cut. Took a few putts and chips and was like playing on plush carpet and was no different on course. Very difficult to judge distance. Fairways didn't have bounce and roll. Approach shots didn't release on green when expected to do so. Played with a member on 2nd 9 and he was shocked by how slow course was. Also, there was lots of goose feces all over the course due to the number of geese. Didn't make for an enjoyable experience, but layout was great though and I would go back to see course under normal conditions. If it was in the same condition, I wouldn't go back again. Definitely a challenge and must put ball in correct position to score well.
