Course was quiet so no holdups. Greens and whole course in good condition.Very enjoyable
ex Member has happy memories
Only second time I've played this course in the last 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges every hole throws at you. Not a long course but each hole has different characteristics and keeps your interest throughout. You can't turn off for a single shot or you will be punished. Wind wasn't too strong but had to be factored into your tee shots.
A little gem
Not long and quite hilly but breathtaking views from the top and plenty of challenges for all levels of golfer. Greens in great condition , though a pity they leave a trendy "fringe" around the putting surface which makes the pitch and run hard to play. Minor quibble, well worth a visit.
No pressure
Played this course twice and each time it was not too busy. Fairways in v good condition greens in good condition., it’s got beautiful views over the coast. You need to read the system for green flags before teeing off- in the club house, or ask at the professional office.
Good view
On a very windy day 3 of us enjoyed a testing round. Teeing off at midday the course was quiet . After all the recent rain the ground was still very soft but overall the fairways were good. Unfortunately the greens generally still need a lot of work to get a true roll.Sure this will be sorted if we can get a couple of weeks of good weather
Difficult to assess, due to poor weather conditions
It is difficult to provide an honest assessment of the course. Due to recent snow & rain it was borderline whether the course should have been open. It was very wet under foot and several winter greens in play. However I would like to play the course again ( in better weather conditions) to provide a more accurate assessment of the course
Good Course in good condition
It must be 25 years since I last played the course and it has improved. Greens were in very good order and the fiarways were excellent. Not too much rough, ideal for our standard of golf
Good Afternoon
Nice course, hilly and open thoroughly enjoyed our round. Give it a go

Well kept course, but tight many tees close to previous greens, and a few short par 4 holes 300 yard. But in all ok for £12.
Quite a Challenge
Greens where very good, quick and true. Course is well kept. Course is very undulating and hilly, so takes it out on your legs, It can be very harsh when you hit a good straight drive and you have a downhill lie in middle of fairway because of the undulations. Beware of the 16th hole as a Hogs Back and a card wrecker.
a good challenge
enjoyed the course some challenging holes one gripe the tee boxes are a bit close to the geens on some holes
Course was in very good condition, a bit rainy at first but cleared up half an hour in the game,. For me, the course at sea ham rates very high and I will surely play there again.
Seaham
Apart from the weather , really good value for money , played 4 courses in the Durham area recently and they all seem to have the same problem with patchy greens
Friendly course
Very friendly members on course will be back to play course again .course condition good for time of year and will probably get better throughout season.
Poor course
Played this course as a society and I'm glad I'm not going to play it again. The pro shop is fantastic with everything you could ever want, it's better stocked than some American Golf stores!! The course is very poor, there are old unfilled pitch marks on every tee box, the tee boxes themselves have more bumps and hollows than some fields I have walked the dog in! The fairways apart from having clumps of Daisy's growing on them were again riddled with old divot marks. The greens were fast, but I have never seen as many old flag positions in such a close area as I have here. The course at Seaham could be fantastic, but it needs to do some serious work to bring this course up to scratch. This is cosmetically the worst course I have ever played in my 20 years of playing. Please don't think I'm reviewing this course poorly as I had a bad round! I shot a 68, off 11, and had the course been tidier I would have gone slightly lower. I would score the course as a 3 1/2 out of 10 and the club itself a 5 out of 10. This was described as a hidden Gem!! In my opinion leave it hidden!!
