BilliardsReviews
Course condition was really bad. It was unplayable if truthful. We stopped playing after the 3rd hole it was that bad.
I really think the course should be closed when it’s this bad.
Great course in the summer. Horrific in the winter.
Good course spoiled by bad etiquette
First I would like to make it clear that the course is currently in good condition, is a very interesting layout and well worth a visit if you are in the area. However, unfortunately several aspects took the shine off the experience during our visit: 1) at the beginning and the end of our round golf buggies were inconsiderately parked on the footpath blocking access and egress to and from the 1st tee and 18th green respectively 2) the intermediate rough had been left to long to the extent that it hampered play and spoiled the game, 3) the immediate locality outside of the course isn't the best - there were youths riding motor bikes around the course perimeter during our visit and youths hiding in the bushes at the far end of the course. The club has done it's best to secure the perimeter but I would seriously recommend that you keep your equipment close by at all times and make sure that your car is fully locked with windows shut and valuables well out of sight.
Excellent course conditions and being fairly empty, I could play at whatever pace I chose. As ever, some impressive sea views from up high. The only gripe I have with Seaham is that reduced twilight prices could be offered during the summer. Handicap 16, score 84.
Hills and views
Course still suffering effects of wet March and mild winter. Had to hit off mats on the fairway. Greens just sanded but reasonable condition. Overall the course is interesting and varied. It was nice to play without the usual howling winds.
Good course
Nice course and in good condition after couple days of snow. Play in windy day so it was hard on some holes. Some greens little to soft but still pretty fast. A few blind holes, should be more bells, really big tee mats give you a comfort to set up you driver.
I will back in Summer. Recommended.
Winter conditions
Played course on a windy day. 17 temp greens on the day and most tees were off mats.
There is a lot of work going on around the course on new tee boxes, bridges etc.
Layout would be ideal for those stating out in golf or casual players. Only two challenging par 4s mostly due to their length and uphill.
Not one for those who like to plot their way around to avoid hazards

Great value for the money. Good test of golf. Enjoyef the day with two Golf Now players. Thank you
Windy day by the seaside
Enjoyed my round as usual at Seaham. Very windy at time and this course is exposed! - all added to the challenge. Course is having drainage work undertaken but it didn’t affect play
Course Worth Playing
The course was in very good condition. Credit to the green keepers. Bunkers, greeens and fairways were very good. I am sure the off course amenities would be very good. The pro in the golf shop was very friendly, the shop looked as if it had everything. Looking forward to playing there again, thank you
A little gem!
This is a great course! I can’t find any faults with the course itself.
Tee boxes and fairways were really well kept and the rough depths were cut appropriately.
The greens were fantastically firm and had a bit of pace to them making them a test for the average golfer without endangering the enjoyment of the round.
I knocked a couple of points off for a few little irritations but on the whole I would definitely recommend this course.
I will certainly be going back!!
Great course
Played here several times. Course is always kept in good condition and the greens are second to none.
