Variety of holes

Good layout and variety of holes. However, fairways were poor condition and the greens were even worse. I appreciate it’s that time of the year but for the cost of the round I feel the course could have been in a better state. To add the pace was extremely slow. Waited on almost every shot which took the round to close on 5hours.

Waterloo course should be waterlogged!!!!!!

Played today closed the wellington so put everyone in a 4 ball so was quite slow play . The Waterloo was unplayable on some holes
But to be fair greens were immaculate for this time of year. Bunkers were like ponds!! Understand that this time of year and winter golf but come on get some grounds staff out there…. To be fair the course looked like it will be decent from March onwards and staff were friendly, note to myself come back in spring!!

Play here often

Two tracks, I prefer the Waterloo 18 holes, slightly better variety. I play here often and the last 6 months overly the corse has got a lot better, ruffs have calmed down a little bit, greens condition are really good, fairways are also up to par standard. Excellent value for money Twilight prices. Would definitely recommend.

Surprisingly good

Might just the the negative reviews I’’d read - but had no desire to play here. Was surprised at the scale of the property. - and the layout. Greens were a little sandy- but layout was much better than I expected.. With the. new owners this place has a chance to change its reputation.

Very very slow.

Not great had a 54 player society in front off us. On the 2nd hole a member of the last group asked the marshal to see if he could get us on the other course he said he would check and off he went not to come back until the 6th hole and ask us how it was going..
Nearly a 5 hour round for a 2 ball no thanks would not recommend this golf course at all.

Really enjoyed it

Very happy with our round at Sherfield Oaks and will definitely come back. Really nice layout, greens were a bit bobbly but that's to be expected early season.

Decent course, just a few issues

Played for the 1st time today, staff are great an very friendly. The course was decent but obviously packed after the return from lockdown. I have no issues with this. My only gripe was the absolute lack of social distancing from the 12+ group of guys on the 1st tee to the staff standing way to close to people. Whilst I realise a lot of people are now vaccinated, we still have to be responsible. Yes you may not care, but if they close golf again you'll only have yourselves to blame.

Good course but extremely water logged

It was good to get out and play around after the storms and the greens were in good condition and ran true. On another day I could see that the courses would be a good test of golf.

Unfortunately due to heavy rain the day before the corse was extremely water logged especially the fairways and the paths particularly on the front nine. Which did detract from the game.
All respect to the efforts made by the staff and team to direct you away from the wettest areas and to keep the course open.
Would return for another game in hopefully better conditions .

Interesting course but muddy paths

Overall I really enjoyed playing this course and even though we had considerable rain the day before it held up quite well. The greens were in excellent condition and ran very true. Great to play a course where you need to have a little more thought than just smashing it down the fairway. The par 3s were very good as they were quite challenging. 18th is an excellent finishing hole. However some of the paths between holes need attention as they were very muddy.

Waterloo

Used to be a member here always enjoyed the waterloo course. Haven't played it for awhile great to play it again apart from the sand put on the greens for regular maintenance, thats why i took 40 putts, or thats my excuse
if anyone finds a callaway with 3 black dots its mine as i lost 5 of them
Thoroughly enjoyable course and company would recommend to all

Worst greens ever played

The course was nice and lovely weather. But 100% let down by the terrible state of the greens. Staff told me that the greens had some disease what has left them patchy and holes full of sand. I payed 35 quid and feel like it should of cost 5. Wish I had took photos as this review does not reflect how bad they were.
