Excellent Despite the Weather

First time I have played here and really enjoyed it. The weather was pretty bad with rain throughout the 18 holes and the terrain was quite hillly made worse by the awful weather, I am sure that wouldn't be an issue on a nice day. All the people I met there were extremely pleasant and helpful. Will definitely coming back to play again.

strange

firstly this is advertised as 18 holes, par 70 at 6076 yards, it is NOT it is 9 holes [although it is a nice course this is misleading]. we booked online for a 10:am tee off, arived at 09:40 but all was shut up and closed, a lady pulled up in a car sat for 5 minutes but then dfove off, so we could not get scorecards, we played the first nine and saw one other person on the course but still no life in the clubhouse, played the nine holes again with a few more people on the course. we completed the 18 holes in around three hours but when we finished there was still nobody in the club house or shop. very unusual to say the least

Lovely 9 Hole

I’ve recently moved to the area and got back into golf after a 7/8 year hiatus. Looking for a regular course to play and this is just behind my house! Think I’m gonna be coming here a lot this summer. Challenging course but very rewarding. Great greens, really well kept.
Highly recommend

Course cancelled

We booked a round of golf two weeks before we were due to play. I was called to say the course would be shut on the day we had booked two days before the scheduled off. It would have been my first round at South Bradford. I live locally and was considering membership. Not now. We got in at Cleckheaton and had a great round on a lovely well kept course.

Due to recent heavy rain some of the fairways were a little wet and muddy on places but not to the extent that it affected play. Greens were in excellent condition. Staff were friendly as were the members who helped us out with findi g a couple of tee boxes. Would definitely play here again.

A great course in excellent condition

I started playing golf in summer and have played a few of the local 9 holes in Leeds and Bradford. This is by far the nicest course and best maintained. Good challenge particular the par 3s. Clubhouse is always friendly which is important for somebody new to golf with old scraped equipment. Give it a go . I've played this multiple times now and love it.

Another pleasant course

This is a very pleasant 9 hole course. The greens were fast and difficult to read which resulted in higher scores than we should have had being posted..
It has two lovely par threes and a couple of interesting dog leg holes. The other 5 holes are much of a muchness but the course is beautifully kept.
My one criticism for someone playing it for the first time is the lack of signposting to the next tees as the 5th and 6th can be confusing
Two of our party wanted to hire trollies and were told they couldn't this apparently was because the pro wanted to close up early. other than that the clubhouse and bar were excellent, very welcoming and clearly would remain open long into the night

Excellent 9 hole knock

An excellent 9 hole parkland course with several testing holes, suitable for all levels of golfer.

The first 3 holes rapidly take you downhill to the bottom corner of the course and then you start the gradual climb with the exception of the 6th, back upwards to the picturescue par 3 9th in front of the clubhouse.

Long course

outstanding value for money. Some long par 4s but enjoyable. Will be going back soon. Only thing i would improve is better signage for direction to some tee boxes.
