Flat
Good beginners course, wide fairways not too much trouble.
Greens a bit bobbly i think due to lack of rain for a while.
Enjoyed it immensly.
Nice views, cool breeze
Once we got past the 3 ball and 5 ball in front of us we played millionaires golf.
We sauntered round in 3h 24m, without rushing.
Would play again.
Great value for money
Overall very pleasant course. Greens not the best but I have seen worse. Friendly staff and nice touch having halfway house walking towards 10th hole. Nice cold beers 😜
Good price for challenging course.
Would given 5 stars if they have WHS system in place so we couldn’t use my EG app on this course. Nice course good challenge with lots of long rough to avoid.
A fun golf round
A lovely course to play on a sunny afternoon. The long grass has green left to get longer . But the fairways are short and wide.
Hard ground so need to under club otherwise you will foo through the greens.
Get's Better Every Time
I've played here a fair few times and can honestly say it gets better every time. The Greens are not the best but they are more than acceptable, however it's a very well looked after Golf Course that is more than worth the Green Fee of £21. Most holes are fairly straightforward but there are some challenging ones, particularly the couple of long Par 4s and the 220 odd yd Par 3 17th. The Clubhouse has decent facilities (Driving Range, Practice area and Bar/Cafe) so i can't think of a reason to complain. Not sure what it's like at weekends but on a Friday it is nice and quiet so the pace of play is perfect. Overall, if you just want to play Golf with no 'bells and whistles', where you can get around in less than 4 hours and is fairly cheap...give this place a try.
A very good course
Considering a week of rain previous to my round, I found the course as best as it could under the circumstances, the greens very good, staff pleasant and amenities good.
Will deffo visit again
100% Recommend
Played this course for the first time on Easter Monday and considering the rubbish weather conditions on the day and previously the course was well maintained and also have some tricky holes.
Would come back again and recommend to anyone
Abandoned due to pace of play
4 groups playing on the 11th tee, had to leave despite being on for a PB
Great value for money
Played this course about 10 times in the last 6 months and have never been held up. Staff have done a great job keeping the greens in great condition and protecting the tee off areas. Obvious improvements are ongoing with opened up ground. but it doesn’t interfere with your game.
Well done SC golf club 👏
Took a gamble and booked for a Saturday early in January.
With the terrible weather we've been having, the course was in great condition, not a temp tee or green on the entire course!!..
First time I have played here as staying in the area, course flowed well, nice and open, and a very enjoyable round.
Would love to play again when weather is slightly more favourable. Good set up with the range (although didn't use)
Clubhouse fairly decent too...
Nice interesting course
The course is playing great considering the rainfall recently and the time of year, firm fairways mostly with plenty of grass under the ball, no real need to pick and place. Nice true running greens. Green keepers were hard at work removing/collecting fallen leaves.
It was raining so had the course to myself.
1st time I've played here and it's not a bad little course and is a fair course for high handicappers. Fairways are wide and the rough is cut short.
I can't remember if there's a bunker in the course but there is a few hedges, ditches and other obstacles on some of the fairways. Greens are in decent condition and relatively flat.
Shame about the lack of divots not repaired by other players.
Best hole is the 17th 200Yd par 3.
Club house looks nice but didn't get to use it..
South Cerney
Was great to play course again. Greens seemed to be a bit slow. Other than that everything and everyone was lovely ⛳⛳⛳
Open course
Really good course we was running late because of problems on the motorway but they fitted us in. The course is quite open but it has some long par 4s and par 3s that make it interesting. We are looking forward to playing there again soon.
Great condition
Given that I played just after very heavy rain at the end of October, the course was in excellent condition, including the greens which were well drained.
The fairways are mostly nice and wide so forgiving for driver.
The course is not on Igolf/England golf so if you manage your handicap this way like me your score card cannot be submitted which is a big shame.
Clubhouse is small but nice. The Pro Shop is small and very limited. The range is great.
