Course is in great condition. Fast, firm greens, well kept fairways, very impressed.

Been on this course many times and it was always ok till the last round,it took over 5 hours to play, with waiting on tee at every single hole ,phoned the pro at the pro shop who suggested if you want a quick round start playing in the week,which would be fine but having to work for a living cant be done .cant fault the course but unless you enjoy very very slow golf go elsewere,,they need to space out the tee off times better .

We found the course in good condition, the greens were also very good. Would recommend.

Played Stand about 20 years ago and had forgotten how good it was. The course was in really nice condition. It’s a good track. It is quite hilly in places but the elevation changes make many of the holes. Highly recommend playing a round here

Honestly can't knock anything about the course, greens were close to the best I've ever played on. Only issue I had was a couple of rude members,4 ball in front wouldn't let me play through and I was alone. Added about 90 minutes on my round for the sake of 2-3 minutes for them.

Anyways, Lovely scenic course with amazing views and challenging holes, I'm a 22 Handicapper and found it tough and very hilly!

This is a championship worthy course. The design of the course is outstanding. The structure is such that it is possible to play a round without seeing another golfer. There are breathtaking views encountered during the round. The elevated tee holes are a joy to play. The course is a mixture of heath and parkland with undulating and sometimes difficult hilly sections. It was a memorable but tiring day for two seventy plus seniors. I just wished I'd played it in my younger and fitter days.

This is the first time we’ve played Stand. Really enjoyed the experience, some great holes and interesting as well. Didn’t use the off course facilities due to the current situation. But will definitely play here again.

Challenging and tricky holes

The course was in great condition and despite a hail shower half way around that blanketed the greens, this melted and drained away within half an hour. Upon arrival the pro was very friendly and helpful even though we were the last tee time of the day. Views from the course impressive and will definitely return. There is plenty of up and down the whole way around and so may not be ideal for all if seeking a leisurely round but cannot fault the club or the course.

My favourite course in the area, been looked after and well maintained during lockdown, greens are fast, beautiful fairways, well kept, lots of drainage and work went on so the course is in amazing condition.

Course is great, long with a good mix of challenging par 4s, some dog legs, long par 5s and some testing par 3s testing your accuracy. Some water features, tee shots over trees, beautiful vantage points from some tees, good for long hitters shortening the holes, I really enjoyed it. People on the course really friendly, pro shop, group of 4 ladies kindly let me play through, and let a 2 ball play through as was enjoying taking my time and hit a few wayward drives heheh.

Overall a good course. Very hilly and played very long in the stiff and freezing northerly wind. The fairways could have done with a cut but is early in the season and people are just coming out after Covid so not expecting it to be immaculate. Greens were a bit bumpy and not rolling great but would love to play again.

In good condition and offers different challenges. Greens slightly slower than ideal but certainly not poor. Would happily play again.

First time playing Stand yesterday.
Course was in excellent condition. Greens fast but receptive. Fairways immaculate. Tee boxes and all other areas tidy.
Though not the longest, it asks plenty of questions off the tee. Position is key. Great fun to play. Will definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf to be had at Stand. Big hitters could take on racing lines but would have to be accurate! It’s nice for all abilities, myself being at the low end of that hahaha but some cracking holes and staff and people are really pleasant. Would highly recommend and for £22 cannot complain.
